If YOU had only one mod to take out of Ultimate, forever, what would it be?

Apparently everyone, expect Whizz, who has a small tendency to ignore all scientific evidence (but is otherwise a cool guy, let's not turn this into ANOTHER flame thread against Whizz and his beliefs, shall we?) hates RedPower2. That's the mod I would NOT take away - of course I play in other worlds, be it ShneekyCraft or even my own 1.5.1 modpack (basically ShneekyCraft with MystCraft, Ars Magicka, Atum, SC2, Forestry+ExtraBees+Thaumic Bees and Thaumcraft, along with ALL the UE mods, GalacticCraft and CC+MiscPheriperals, BoP, MineChem and BiblioCraft 'cause why not - probably going to add IC2+GregTech later on - and Factorization, too) - also vanilla hoppers are AWESOME! - but I can't see myself right now as a player without RedPower2. Really. I can play without it? Yes, I can. Do I like it without RedPower2? Yes, I do, it's fun. Will I like it with RedPower2? Yes, even more! I want to mix Alloy Wire and RedNet, I want to be able to have a lever wall able to direct me to everywhere in my world via rail system, I want to have my sword of blue fire, my pick of green speed and my shovel and my axe of red resistance, I want volcanos and marble and Bluletric stuff, furnaces, sorting machines, even the engine!
It's a good mod, I don't want it to go.
I want to implement everything we got new on this wonderful update (favourite one so far, BTW) to a max. I want to connect every mod.
That's the main reason I play FTB.
Interconnection shenanigans.
I bravely resisted the 1.3.2 wave, staying on my 1.2.5 world with Dire's 4th season modpack, while my friends were experimenting in 1.3.2.
When I got back, I took a week of BTW.
Preety fun.
But FTB was released near Christmas.
And I thought it was one of the greatest presents I had ever gotten.
I am going to be hated for not wanting RP2 to go. I want 1.4 packs and 1.5 packs.
I want it all.
Queen said that first, after all.

Don't get me wrong it's a great mod it's just that she doesn't update. I don't think it's worth not experimenting in new mod features from other mods just to stay behind in a world so you can use RP2
But to each his own right?

Have you missed the part I said "My own 1.5.1 modpack"?
I already know a fuckton of stuff possible with all the other mods.
I have two worlds.
1.5.1 and 1.4.7.
No biggie.
But I want to see what's possible.
What's possible with 1.5.1 mods and RP2.
What I am able to do.
What I am able to create.
What I am able to automate.
What I am able to interconnect between mods.
But what the heck, I just felt everyone suddenly started hating RP2.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy RP2 as well; I just find it to be a headache in the end. And I guess that's why I keep looking(and finding, oddly enough) mods which can replace various bits and pieces of RP2. And chances are, once RP2 updates, I'll add it back into my modded world. But I can go on without it, and indeed, Will go on without it.

Of course, I don't use the FTB launcher much (if at all) anyway these days. Partially because I'm using a 1.5.1 build with more mods that I like, partially because it's gotten buggy and won't launch Ultimate when I try to use it. Haven't tried any other packs, because I don't want to use any other packs. Yeah, Ultimate is buggy in of itself, has issues, etc etc, but I enjoyed it. It's got most of the mods I like (but not all, mind you) and has some I'm interested in, so why would I use a pack which has less of the mods I like(and even more I don't really care about?)?

I still don't have a firm grip on what it actually is each mod does and can do, but my current project involves trying to link up 64 different redstone inputs into a ComputerCraft computer. I simply don't see how this is possible without RedPower.

I'm on MindCrack and don't see anything I'd want removed.

Easy.

Thermal Expansion - I am sick of receiving bug reports that aren't related to TE. If people would just stop playing the mod, I wouldn't have keep investigating these absurd claims.

TE and Tconstruct are my two favorites right now, but don't worry, I won't spam you with needless crashes from other mods. I'll send them all to Soaryn. :p

I'd take out Thermal Expansion.. i love it, but that is the problem. There is almost no point to IC2 with Thermal Expansion installed.

You are absolutely horrible(Exaggerating).
How could you ever say something like that?
IC2 is already dying out. The only thing that really keeps it alive is...
The addons.
Specifically, Gregtech. TE is infinitely more useful than Vanilla IC2. We have bees instead of crops (with a more logical breeding system.)
We have the Energetic Infuser to fill up stuff.
We have MPS to replace Quantum.
Seriously, how do you get food from energy?
The only thing irreplaceable is UU.
I loved and hated EE2, and UU gave me back EE2.

Seriously, how do you get food from energy?.
You must not have used a Quantum recentlyish. You don't get food from energy anymore, you get food from food(and a canning machine to make canned food, which is used by the Quantum Helmet to feed your sorry ass when you get hungry).

So I keep hearing people saying that they don't want to remove RP2 because it adds frames, something no other mod does yet.
But I've been keeping track of a certain UE mod called Complex Machines. Apparently it adds something called a "Airship" which is built with two special blocks, a controller and a motor. Giving the Controller a redstone signal makes linked motors move, taking blocks along with them. I haven't tested it yet(still futzing about finding a good seed, likely going to enable the same biomes from Ultimate in my custom build because of these shitty seeds I keep getting), but it sounds like it would be a decent stand-in for RP2s Frames.

But what mod would I remove? RP2. I've had enough with it's volcano's eating villages Plus Marble, which it looks kind of nice, causes lag in Mystcraft Cave Worlds. I haven't bothered to try to learn LUA to use CC, and FORTH is much harder to me to understand, so computers are right out for me in RP2, every mod seems to have Lamps these days, and so on. Really, as good as RP2 is... it's not worth the trouble to me. And with Complex Machines and it's Airships... No reason for me to morn the loss of RP2. Except for the athme and enchantments. But thats it!

If it is anything like the old airship mod from 1.2.5, it would be awesome. That mod was amazing. You could craft your ship out of blocks, fly around in it, drop anchor to dock a ship to the world and it let you mount working cannons on your ship that fired cannonballs.

This was my old ship I made with that mod.


Flying around in a "Lost Soul" in minecraft was really fun.
