Try it. It does not mean that 3+1=4

To add to the list though:

Where's the config to return machine block, re battery, circuits, etc to base-IC2 standard (i.e., not requiring plates)

the plate thing actually is in the lists. Same file.

And here's the right config for you: B:ForestryBronzeNerf=true

I think the crash went over the line. It was bad enough that GT added a lovely wall-o-text when certain mods were installed, but now it's purposely breaking the game. Sure GT may have disabled the code for now, but what's to say it won't be re-enabled at a later date, possibly doing something a bit more mischievous than crashing. Something not detectable until a bit into the game.

I really wish the FTB team would chime in on this, because this is their problem too. I wouldn't want FTB's reputation to go down the drain if they accidentally release malware.

3 + 1 = 111 now?

where is the tin bucket config in gregtech the scaffold? the bronze? the omni wrench?
Ohhhhh you thought I was talking about GregTech :p. I was talking about NiceGregTech. I don't think that you can do everything in GregTech that NiceGregTech can do just by editing the GregTech configs.

Lost as always
Individual people may not use both mods, but both mods appear in the same FTB pack. Only one of the mods interferes with other mods though.

On the other hand, you're simply wrong. Really, everybody on our server uses both (or uses Dartcraft instead of Tinkers, which is even less complex)
See also previous comment about the minority who uses both.

And these changes are not present in the version released for the FTB pack in question, making that distinction moot. The only people who get these problems are those who update GregTech manually, which tend to be people who enjoy playing with GregTech.

And your example just proved my point again: preferring GT over TC because you use Dartcraft instead.

Personally, I don't think they need to announce good reasoning and common sense, not to mention pragmatic, methods for handling the packs they make. I'm sure they'd punt greg out the window in a heartbeat if this were ongoing. :)

Better install an antivirus program the next time I decide to play with GT...

I just ordered a tank and a platoon of armed guards just in case you decide to post again.

(for possible misunderstandings: It's just to show how exaggerated the quoted post was)

I just visited the IC2 GT thread and it was really weird. It's not just that these people were incredibly biased, they were more than biased. It's like they believe and support him before he even does anything.[DOUBLEPOST=1374091187][/DOUBLEPOST]
I don't care that it hasn't affected me in any way. I care that greg put in code to intentionally crash the game when used alongside another mod. By my definition, that is malware.

I believe it is by the definition, malware. I wonder if the FTB team knows.

Like I said, he has a solid cult following.

It's one thing to play pranks on other mod authors, but this is the second instance I'm aware of, of Greg inserting malicious code. This behavior should NOT be tolerated and I'll be sorely disappointed if he isn't given the boot and made an example out of. The pack is much better off without childish antics like this.

He's surrounded himself with yes-men. They agree with everything he does and it only encourages him to do more of the same.

I don't have the time to read all of this as I'm building a bookcase for my mothers office soon, so excuse me if all of this has already been said.

Lambert, Wyld (FTB Modpack Guy), Greg, mDiyo, and I are all on the GT thread. It seems to be clearing up. The 1.5.2 WGT won't be updated until Greg removes the code that crashes the client, and gives 42 config files. mDyio has already removed the unnerf code (I think). The feud between Greg and mDiyo has gone on long enough. Greg, get your head out of your ass. http://forum.industrial-craft.net/index.php?page=Thread&postID=120499#post120499

I'm not sure if you really were on the forums since you didn't notice that greg made the client crash code so that it detects the problem in TC and once that problem is fixed the client wont crash anymore. Why does he need to really even remove the code anymore then?

He's. Is. Making. A. Game. Crash. On. Purpose.

How thick is that piece of oak in front of your face? He's the little kid that destroys a toy that he's not allowed to play with so other kids can't either. I mean, how can a human being smart enough to use a computer not understand how incredibly wrong this is?

This really shows that the origin of the word "fan" is "fanatic"...Sheez.

He needs to remove it because putting it in in the first place is WRONG.
