Does anyone play vannila after they try modded?

I've been playing a little bit of Vanilla lately, but honestly after playing modded, vanilla feels like the stone age vs the modern world. Does anyone still enjoy vanilla after modded? I guess I like it for simplicity and not worrying about epic systems failing, but honestly thats not really a problem that causes me much grief in modded. Would/do you ever play vannila?

in vanilla i see no need for NEI.

That's why I made myself an instance with client-side only mods.
Well, the real reason was to see at a glance where monsters can spawn, because no magnum torches

Whenever a new update comes out, I backup and update my world and then I play on that for about a fortnight.

I mainly play vanilla on minigame servers. Also still need to complete the game on hardcore.

Movement is too slow, sorting chests is not fun. Cooking stuff takes forever, and theres nothing to do but build in the most tedious fashion possible. Honestly, I dont get why vanilla is still popular.

Because it's simple I guess? Trying to ask why minecraft is popular isn't really going to get you a solid answer.

Generally i'll start a new vanilla world after each update.

It never lasts too long before I run out of stuff to do.

There isn't the same toolset, no.

The basics are there though.

But there is something extraordinarily satisfying about bricking up their doors and pouring lava in with them trapped inside, might not be the most creative way but it sure gets the job done.

I usually check it out when a major update comes along, but other than that, I don't do singleplayer vanilla. I may play with friends who don't play modded, or to go on servers, but that's about it.

Maybe because modding is nigh impossible on Consoles/phones/tablets due to closed hardware systems and it seems a large number of players use these devices?[DOUBLEPOST=1412422988][/DOUBLEPOST]

More like you like to see how vanilla ripped off modded, and see how poorly implemented the things are

Naw, I'm just ripping on vanilla, I run a vanilla server because I have a few friends who can't run modded (toasters for computers) and two people who refuse to play modded MC.. /boggle

I popped onto it after I updated to 1.8... futzed around a bit... went back to the modded server.
