Turn down your graphics options as much as possible, there's also some java arguments you can input in the launcher options that improve performance. Can't remember which thread they were posted in though.

So I started a world on magic farm 2. Turns out the crafting recipes for wooden and stone pickaxes don't bloody exist.

How is one meant to get started if one can't dig up *ANY* ores, even iron?

[EDIT: nvm, TiCo to the rescue as per usual XD]

How can I transport (read: teleport) EU power across large areas?
Change it into RF using whatever you want ( power converters) tesseracts that and then change it back into EU on the other side. That or charging crystals teleporting them through your method of choice and then uncharging them on the other side

Thanks! I had heard about PC before, but now I'll put it to the test.

Does Minecraft count every door as a villager house?
From the Minecraft wiki:
A valid door is any door (within the city radius) where the number of "outside" spaces within 5 blocks (in a straight line) on one side of the door is not the same as the number of "outside" spaces within 5 blocks on the other side of the door. A space is considered to be "outside" if it is hit by the sun during the day, i.e. it is transparent, and has nothing but transparent blocks above it all the way to the sky. (This means that starting a village deep underground, such as in a cavern or buried ravine, is not feasible.)

OK so I've been searching and searching and searching and haven't found anything so I'm asking here. In the options tab of the launcher there's a little check box that says "Use optimization arguments for fast computers" what does this do?

What do Mekanism, Gendustry, and Mariculture add that can't be topped by something else? (Besides fish breeding.)

EDIT: Oh, and also, is there a way to run Opis on my client without having its Mapwriter? That part of it kills my FPS, but I can't find a way to turn it off.

I think the hotkey to disable it is N, but it could vary by pack.
