What's the optimal number of speed upgrades to put in EU liquid transfer nodes per port on a Big Reactor?

(I'm not using a turbine, instead I'm sending steam off to TE dynamos via Ender Tank)
Speed upgrades actually don't increase how much water the node produces. You have to use more world interaction upgrades for this. Speed upgrades help if your water production is faster than the node can put it into the reactor, i.e. when the line between the node and the port is too long.

A: why am I getting no power in either the internal buffer or at the power tap? Does having the fluid taps cause it to over-ride this completely?

Precisely that - when you add fluid import blocks, the reactor automatically detects as an actively cooled reactor, so the power tap is redundant.

I'm actually surprised it still works as a reactor with a power tap left in, so that's good to know! :)

Sorry if already asked before.

Do you know a command or mod to record every chat on my server ?
I like to spy..err ... to be able to read player's answer when I talk to them from the console.

thanks

Well, the powertap is gone now and replaced with a fluid port -- the cryanite reprocessor is running off a steam dynamo stuck on the side of the reactor.

There's a mod called Chatlog, but I'm not sure it records everything.

Does anyone happen to know how to get the Forge Lexicon in FTB Infinity 1.7.10? I see the Lexicon itself in NEI but there doesn't seem to be a recipe for it. I tried googling how to get it but no luck. D:

It is still currently a creative only item. I'm guessing they are still working on it.

That makes sense.

Does anyone happen to know if there are any items/blocks currently that allow you to convert ingots in a similar way to the lexicon? I may just cheat one in but if there's a non-cheaty method, I would like to use that instead.

Mariculture's automatic dictionary converter or MFR's Unifier blocks both convert based on oredict. JABBA barrels can also do this, but only for ores and ingots I think.

I'll look into those. Thanks!

*edit* I have another question that's unrelated to my previous question.

For some reason, adding Factorization seems to have broken terrain generation in the Twilight Forest. When I look at a magic map in TW, it shows different terrain than what was there before and when I go to the edge of where I've explored, the world just stops with only void beyond that point.

I'm guessing that it has to do with a setting in the Factorization's config but I'm not sure which setting fixes this or if there's any setting at all to fix this.

So yeah, does anyone know what I can do to fix this? I tried googling this but I couldn't really find anything on it. Any help is much appreciated. :)

Is it possible to upgrade the Energetic Infuser to Hardened so that it can take the higher tier upgrades like speed?

Not that I know of - I simply made a second set of machines once I was able to make Resonant Machine Frames. My machines made with Basic Machine Frames went into a chest and there they sit, unused.

I am also curious if there is a way to upgrade the Thermal Expansion machines. Seems like a waste of materials to not allow upgrading. And it seems like it should be an easy fix, if the CoFH team wanted it to be. I suspect they don't want to allow upgrading, for whatever reason.

Oh, I should add... I did upgrade my Energetic Infuser and threw the three augments into it for faster processing... and nothing changed. I could be wrong, but I have a feeling that augments are entirely useless for this specific machine.

They are upgrade-able, if you craft with them as if they were the previous tier machine frame. Might not be possible with all machines, but there no "upgrade kit" so to speak. For instance to upgrade a Basic Pulveriser to a Hardened one, you can craft it with an electrum gear and 4 invar ingots. You do have to have it in your inventory, but it is possible.

Yes, you just surround the old machine with the upgrade materials (4 ingots and a gear) and you get the upgraded version. They keep their energy nowadays as well so you won't even waste any RF.

Super, thanks guys for the TE upgrade "trick"! I guess all it really needs is a recipe in NEI so we all can know about it.

Here's a picture of what I'm talking about. There's nothing but void beyond this point.
