It is from forestry, and it hasn't been around long, though I cannot remember the actual version it was implemented. No, it isn't functionally identical to an apiary, pipes or alternatives won't connect, meaning you can't automate it, and you can't put frames in it to boost production.
Guys, what mod is Bee House from? AFAICT it's functionally identical to an Apiary, yet requires only a comb to make, instead of using impregnated casing. Has it been in the mod for long?
It was just recently added to Forestry in 1.5 as a way for people to get started in bees without having to set up an entire infrastructure for frames and impregnated casings. Bee Houses are easier to make and bees in them will live longer and be more productive than bees in an apiary that doesn't have frames. The downside is that pipes won't connect to them, so they can't be automated, and bees will NOT mutate at all in them, so you can't breed any new species in them.
So, very handy if you just want some easy honey combs. Also extremely useful if you're trying to isolate a species in a hybrid bee, but don't want the bee to mutate. Like, if you have a Diligent/Unweary queen and don't want it to go Industrious until you can nab a few Unweary drones.
Does anyone know how to get miniature hearts (used in making heart canisters)? I got one from a spoils bag once, but I would like a more reliable supply of them
How do they work in a AE system? Do they stack there?Miniature Hearts appear to be a rare drop from mobs. My mob farm keeps churning them out along with spoils bags. Kind of annoying, since they only stack to 10 for some bizarre reason.
Yes. AE systems stack everything that's not suppose to be stacked. As long as they have the same NBT data.How do they work in a AE system? Do they stack there?
