Anybody know what the use for roosters from hatchery is? Also if you have a good method for spawning chickens in a skyblock map, I would love to hear it.

Roosters can be filled with seeds and breed with any breedable chickens in the area, provided their cooldown timer isn't still ticking away.

in infinity evolved expert mode what would be the best quarry for decent speed and power usage with extra utils or rf tools dont want to use BC quarry as that thing is WAY to slow

@Bickers The RF Tools Builder Block mines quickly but is power hungry. The Extra Utils Ender Quarry also mines quickly but is also power hungry. The Builder Block can do a 512 by 512 area. Ender Quarry can do a 1K by 1K area.

Working on Forestry bees, trying to get to Industrial/Imperial and I ran out of the honey drops so I can't run the Beealyzer since it requires a honey drop each time. What do I do now? I've collected every hive I can find in the world for the combs, and I don't feel like going 1000 blocks in an ever-widening circle to find more. What do I do now? Punt? Just drops bees into my apiaries at random and pray? LOL Without a Beealyzer to see what I'm doing, it's pretty hopeless, and I don't see any way of getting more combs. I got to the common bees and they just do not drop any combs at all. I guess I wasted too much time trying to get to cultivated and blew it. Feels like I'm stuck now.

Takes a pair of the hive bees and put them in apiaries with some frames and automate them. Let them produce some honey. Then repeat with a few more apiaries. They will produce combs (even at a slow rate). Then in a couple more proceed to do some more breeding and use the beealyzer.

In addition to Henry Link's good suggestion, there's a cute little mini-game in Forestry that might help you. Find/make an escritoire (they're in village forestry buildings). Put a drone in the scanning slot, and a bunch of drones in the "fuel" slots to the left. Play "Memory". (I record placement of each bee "card" in an offline application such as Excel to "remember"). When you "win", you get some prizes: Combs and a piece of paper that will somewhat improve your mutation rates.

I like to do this in early bee-game when I'm producing tons of drones and I want to kill time while waiting for mutations (which cannot ever be faster than a few dozen seconds, I forget the exact number)

Also, scale is your best friend when doing bees. When doing anything at all with bees, I never settle for one apiary: several are better.

Hopefully nice simple question, not looking for any numbers really just apocryphal experience: have people found that the Petramor ability repairing from an ardite handle outweighs the Ecological repairing from wood at all?

Ooohh... That is a good one. By the time I get to this level, I'm more interested in adding modifiers to get un-breaking rather than a better repair. But I would like to see this answered as well. Maybe I'm using the material and should do this instead.

Is there a way to allow a stves cart to chop trees but NOT plant sapplings. I tried google searching this but folks with the opposite problem. (wanting their cart to plant but it not doing so) snags the results. pls and ty.

aside: Preferably a way that doesnt involved making another cart or editing this one. I had hoped that filling the cart with cobble would prevent it from pulling sapplings and just chop but that doesnt seem to work.

Why would you want to chop down trees without planting saplings?

Tree farms are meant to be renewable, you know, and saplings aim to do that. If you want to chop down a forest just use a TCon lumberaxe or an RFTools Builder with a wood-only filter (if you really hate doing stuff manually)

Edit: if you really want to use Steve's Carts you could replace the dirt the saplings/trees are on with blocks saplings can't grow on (e.g. cobblestone)

Why not just use a Ender IO farming station? And lock the seeds slot slot??

Its possible SoraLow360 wants to chop a (long) linear line rather than a farm area. I don't have an answer to the original question but I'd probably defer suggestions until we understand what the goal here is.

I used the ranged pump in the nether just fine (that was actually its primary job, replicating the enderthermic pump. They just also made it work with water). Can you explain how yours is set up?

I don't think there's another option right now.

The ranged pump has a huge range so once you have provided it with power, a redstone signal and some sort of forced extraction of the fluid from it then eventually it will get to coordinates with lava and start working for you. I am pretty sure if you right click it with an empty hand it will tell you its status or what it is lacking.

I did redstone signal with enought power and enderio fluid pipe to extrat to a tank.
I'ts writting pumping with coordonate and "Empty tank".
As i said in my wreative client nether world it's working fine with the same setup and on my server nether world it idle without pumping the lava.
I post you the screenshot :

Thank you !

Mine does that as well. I don't tihnk it knows where the lava is on its own, so it's searching a whole radius. If every time you click on it, it gives you different coordinates, it's working. You just have to let it do its thing. I find this pump is best used passively with loaded chunks, unlike the BC pump where I might flip a switch, fill up a drum and move on.

I do believe you need the ExU2 fluid transfer node as well, but that's not your problem if the tank is reading empty.

I do believe it needs to be just 1 block above the lava level, though. It sounds like you have power, and it's at least trying to run. I'd say if you can confirm that it's the right height level, then we'd probably need a screenshot.
