All: I'm not familiar with late version Vanilla Enchanting (which now requires lapis). Is it normal that I need to have 30 levels to do a max enchant, but I only lose 3 (or so levels) to perform that enchant?

I don't know which version. But I have yet to see them not turn into dead bushes. In at least one version the dead bush would despawn. I remember that as I was wanting to shear the dead bushes for later and had a time constraint do to them despawning.

Can't seem to make a batbox chargepad. I put in all the components, the result properly shows up in the box, but if I click to take the result out, it 'blinks' for a second, the materials disappear and the chargepad appears on my cursor, but then it resets and the components return to the crafting table. I've been using the TC table but happens in the basic table as well. Haven't tried cheating components for the more advanced versions to see if they have the same problem.

Anyone else have this issue?
 
It happens from time to time with mine too-sometimes it's just a glitch with the crafting grid so you need to fiddle with it. Try taking 1 component out, then closing and reopening GUI. Replace that part and try to lift the crafted item out again. Keep doing this with the other remaining 8. If that doesn't work, go into a creative test world and give yourself multiples of the crafting materials and try making one again using more than one of the ingredients. if that works, put only 1 into each slot and try again. If you can make one still the item's craftable and will be craftable in SSP. Try again on your main world reload to make one. If messing about with the grid like this STILL isn't working make yourself another of each component trying again for each new craft while chesting the originals in case one of the items you made was corrupted.

Yep, thank you - looks like all I had to do was load the world again after having mildly-rage-quit when it wasn't working before.

I figured too it was more of a general finicky-modding/maybe general minecraft problem rather than specific to the mod, but I hadn't encountered it before despite pretty much only playing mega mod packs.
 
When moving lava between deep resonance tanks using EnderIO conduits, 1mB is lost.

not sure if this has been reported but some of my Botania flowers disappear after sleeping in a bed. i will try to recreate the bug. anyway it was only my nightshades. also the endoflame flower wont take fuel if they are too close to the mana spreader. cant find info about rule placement so i guess this is also a bug?

Passives (such as nightshades and dayblooms) disappear after a few days.

Endoflames work fine for me in the pack. Are yours bound properly to a mana spreader?
 
You need to either place the endoflame after the spreaders (if you're needing more than 1) or use the floral obedience stick to bind them to 1 spreader.

Bunch of endoflames covering every spare block up there and right next to spreaders. 4 x Gaia spreaders with 4 droppers on pulse mode and connected via redstone conduits to an RFTools timer (with extra utilities redstone clock connected which I use to turn it on or off. On if clock's disabled, off when it's pulsing and ergo resetting the timer). Spreaders connected to the mana distributers using prisms to minimise loss. Looks cool too :)

Pools being filled by mana distributers have recessive sparks and the other pools there are unaugmented (except for 2 with dominant sparks I'm using for powering alter & brewery). They're empty atm due to trying to max out terra shatterer. In main room the 4 pools there have a spark tinkerer in the middle with another EUtils redstone clock under it. 2 of the pools had dominant sparks, the other 2 had dispersive and the tinkerer had a dominant augment on it. The clock pulses the tinkerer that then switches the augment it has with one that's different. This swapping ensures all the pools are getting topped up while providing a passive regen on my equipment if required. The 2 pools for the Elf portal also have dominant sparks.

Timer set to 50 ticks, so 4 charcoal dropped every 2 1/2 seconds which you can only do with gaia spreaders. Elven ones needed 150 ticks iirc and basic was in the region of 5-600 ticks... Best way is to set the tick then if you get charcoal building up, reduce it until you stop saturating the spreader's buffer.

Also have 2 basement levels both utilising thermalily/Serenade of the Nether for a more passive setup.

Charcoal supplied via 2 x maxed out EnderIO farms using their own wood to make axes and a vacuum chest from the Blood Magic well of suffering set to filter bones only, pulling to a crafter and making bonemeal for the farms.
In the pic, the machines are sag mill for bonemeal, 3 crafters-wood to planks, planks to sticks, planks and sticks to wooden axes. 2 x smelters to keep up with the charcoal and a storage block with inventory checker to measure levels, outputting a signal to turn farms on/off.

Farms and well of suffering are in an Aroma1997 dimension using dimensional transceivers to transport products out and power in, and there's an IC2 MFE with low voltage solar array powering a chunk loader which is capable of keeping the 6 chunks I'm using there loaded.
