Wow, getting the cryotheum for my reactor is annoyingly slow. Is there any other method to obtain Niter except pulverizing sandstone? I guess I could look for Nether saltpeter ore, but my so far only expedition into the Nether ended with a swift death.
For what it's worth, Gelid cryotheum is only marginally better than Resonant Ender as a coolant. I submit you're better off spending your time on something other than grinding out Niter.

hey guys i have a ton of nether ores and i dont know how to get the stuff out of them. can anyone please help me?
Run them through a pulverizer to get ore dust, with a chance of netherrack IIRC. Then smelt the resultant metal dusts, and accumulate the redstone dust, sulfur, lapis, etc.

Got a Cyclic Assembler making Vinegar. This produces waste glass bottles that are placed in the CA's inventory. Any ideas on how to extract them using AE? I've tried basic and precision import buses, with precision set to extract vinegar and bottles in stacks.

Edit: Nvm. Just walked the 10K worth of bottles back n' forth to storage. This brings up another question however with the CA in AgS. With XU's rationing pipes disabled, how are we supposed to limit the input amounts into a CA to a stack each?

Ex: I like to have a CA craft Dough [as opposed to a MAC]. Dough takes 3 inputs [Fresh Water/Salt/Flour]. Flour will run out before water or salt, so how do I keep a space open in the CA for Flour?

Did something change with milking cows by hand? I'm only getting one bucket per cow.

It will replenish, but it was nerfed hard in this map, used a rancher instead.

Best method would be a MAC in this case, but you CAN use a level emitter and a precision export bus set to export while redstone is on. put that on each of the 3 exports, and set the emitter(s) to be on while there is flour in the system.[DOUBLEPOST=1408142204][/DOUBLEPOST]News from the world of no angry zombies.. We have updated to AG 3.1.4 still nothing.. has anyone with an updated AG been able to get them?

Nice idea with the level emitters to control AE output. I'm not using it [hate level emitters], but it is a nice bit of engineering. I believe I'm playing latest pushed version so I'll swap out my brain barrel and report back [check version too].

Edit: Totally forgot to ask my ask. Setup a 3x3 plot [automated with MFR] for every damn Pam's seed and I've set all those that need replanting to use seeds vs. crop actual. Been noticing some of the planters are running dry on seeds [even seen this happen with netherwart]. Am I better off using the crop actual to replant with?

Edit: Latest pushed [as of today] is only 3.1.2 but I am seeing brains drop from a simple darkroom with punji killzone.

You can use golems to keep exact counts of an item in inventory. I don't know of any other good method. With some of the slower configurations, you can put one stack of each into the inventory, then fill the other slots with items that aren't used at all (like sticks or cobble), then just tell AE to fill the inventory using both items. When it can't stuff any more of item 1 into the inventory, it will switch to item 2. Not sure how well this would work with the cyclic assemblers since they can craft so darn fast.

My experience with using AE to export into Tesseracts says this may not be so. I was trying to use a single Tesseract to export Jungle logs + Charcoal blocks [with 2 other tesseracts receiving each]. Only the first item got passed, but I was also using only a single export bus... After asking, I was informed AE will push the first item until it runs out of that item, then switch to the second [at least that's how I understood it].

I'm going to make the MAC capable of crafting all up all the foods anyway, so I'm ditching the CA for dough production [for now]. I'll prob setup the furnaces to craft stacks of Bread and Toast via ME interfaces; and this is why I wanted to use the CA to make the Dough. Thanks for the thought effort though.

FYI Thread: Did you know most/all of the Harvestcraft seeds are compostable? I hooked up 6 Fertilizers for the quest-related crops and backed up my AE intake with tons of seeds. I have an overflow duct for compostables [leading to barrels] but a powered duct only pulls a single compostable item at-a-time. I threw on a chest set to capture only seeds which then feeds the barrels [temp fix?] but the seeds still leave the chest single-file. Is there an AE way around this that dosen't involve a fuzzy export bus over every barrel [that seems a bit much to me].

From what I have heard, tesseracts have a hidden inventory slot of one, so ae can't be used in this fashion to fill up a remote inventory. The tesseract will get back stuffed with item 1, and never go on to item 2.

For my compostables, I feed everything from ae into several hoppers/chests and then pull out using item ducts from there. The item ducts then feed hoppers on top of the barrels, thereby giving multiple inventory slots to move more items through at once. This way, I only have to change my configuration at one spot to feed the initial chest, the the item ducts take over and distribute to the barrels.

P.S. item ducts will only pull out the number of items that will fit in the destination inventory. Barrels always have an available inventory of 1, unless they are full. So item ducts directly on top of barrels will only feed 1 item at a time no matter if it takes 5, 8, 10, or 32 items to fill it completely. Placing a hopper on top the barrel will allow the item duct to send up to 64 items at a time to the hopper, and the hopper will in turn feed the barrel at its maximum rate.

@Padfoote or any Blood Magic bubba: Tier2 Altar can be upgraded only with speed runes on the corners or any rune on corners. Tier 3+ Altars, the initial 8 runes below altar can be anything?

I tested Rune of Sacrifice on corner and in middle of T2 altar and it actually decreased the amount of LP I received :(

I like this idea but I'm sorta hesitant to try...my dirt production facilities are somewhat big...110 barrels. I've read hoppers can cause tick lag and 110 hoppers? I may convert a run or 2 and see how it goes.

blood altar can be upgraded with any kinds of runes, as long they are in the right position.

Tier 2 altar you can only change the non corner runes
Tier 3 you can change any
Rune of sacrifice will increase the amount of lp only from the mobs you sacrifice. When you cut yourseld you need the self-sacrifice

T2 apparently only takes 4 modifying runes, while every tier after that will take any number.
