Dimensional transceivers do RF only.
The Mekanism quantum entangloporter does Joules only.
I don't remember if Ic2 has something like that. I think gregtech did which makes me feel that ic2 doesnt.
 
Yes? There are two options. Option 1 is the Dire method, which involves charging some sort of battery, usually energy crystals, but if you're running a Solar Array, Lapotrons might be worth a shot. The other one is to check and see if Tech Reborn has the IDSU, which acts like an EU version of RFTools Power Cells.

Cheers dude, any ideas for a rubber tree farm? Currently using the enderIO one with automated tree taps but is there a better way? One that chops the wood for extraction would be handy - the enderIO farmer won't chop rubber wood :/

Sounds like a good method, and fairly simple with some piping and ender chests. I'll look up the idsu too. I'm wondering if a dimensional transceiver from AE2 can send EU via a P2P tunnel...

If memory serves, DW20 had repeated issues with the ends of EU P2P tunnels forgetting and needing to be reconnected; I’d be tempted to go for the energy crystal route. Not sure if any particular boxes or crystals have a faster discharge/recharge rates. I’m assuming a lapotron crystal in an MFSU would discharge faster in terms of EU/t than an energy crystal, but I’ve no proof of that.
 
I was going to suggest IC2 crop breeding if you want rubber - there's a simple entry level crop that produces rubber...
But you want trees, so I was going to suggest the Forestry Rubber Tree Farm, as that extracts rubber from trees. But it doesn't cut them down...
So I though to suggest the Forestry Tree Farm. But I suspect it only plants trees with genetics...

Yea P2P EU seems pretty buggy still, it's a pain having to hardwire everything but at least it is reliable. Charging crystals seems like a good idea though - but my mind resists it as it seems awkward! There must be a more elegant solution but it elludes me ;) enjoying Christmas so far buddy?

The ic2 crop is just sugar cane cross bred with sugar cane - so nothing to do with the trees.

The forestry farm(s) would be done with normal ic2 rubber trees. There isn't a Forestry rubber tree in AOE, but there is aTech Reborn one but I don't know how you grow it.

Ah I see, sorry I didn't realise it was a rubber crop. Sounds promising - I'll look into it. Thanks for the help dude.

never get any problem with rubber, as i started bees earlier, when i got to industrious i just had so many propolis that i didn't know what tho do with it, so i just put in the centrifuge and used the extratctor to get rubber from resin, now i have a drawer with rubber for days
 
No need for a Forestry Rubber Tree. Use some rubber to make a Rubberized Electron Tube, and stick it into a circuit board, then plug that into a Forestry Multi-block farm. It will then tap those trees, which can be grown as dense as you like, and produce honestly insane amounts of rubber. Or you can max it out if you use something to move blocks and just place rubber tap containing logs on the farm. A four high block of tappable logs will drown you in rubber very, very quickly.

Now, there's an idea. I've not really been keeping an eye on the amount of resources my little furry friends have been generating.

That's good! One HV solar is about 2.5k rubber I nearly had a cry when I finally loaded the recipes into AE2 and saw the quantities involved, not too bad with the 3x rubber for resin in the extractor.
