Just got a crash when going to page 9 of the new book The Ferret Business Contract Guide.
Yep I added a new pack announcement for 0.1.0 and this is the first important 'crash' bug to note. Hopefully there aren't many more!

I have to admit though. When I stream I have all minecraft sounds off so I didn't hear it. When I stream again tonight I will make sure to play it :)

@Caigan I just finished getting my HQM data reestablished after updating, and it turns out my Job Title is a touch low (mainly because the Researchology contracts give job title). So is there any chance you'll add an item to Ferret Shinies that you can turn in for job rep? It's not really a big deal to just spam complete the Researchology quests as they become available, but I just wanted to point out that out.

EDIT: I'm at 4961 out of my original 5326 if you're curious. (I've also turned in one round of them because I wanted the chapter to say completed.)

Also, will we be seeing some ZTones quest next update? (And will we be able to buy the few tools it has? I don't actually know what they do, but it'd be kinda cool to be able to buy them if they're dungeon loot/not OP.)

If I can disable them from dungeon loot lists yes. Right now the config is 'all or nothing' as in, if they are enabled they are dungeon loot, if disabled they are removed completely.

The problem with one of them is its basically an ore 9x-er. It converts, say, gold ore into a gold block.

Cauldron is on forge 1408.91 but MobiusCore (Opis) doesn't work with it. There is a fix that dosnt work for me.
Just removing MobiusCore/opis and i can start the testserver on cauldron 1408 without a crash.
I dont run a test on forge only but hope thats your problem with newer forge versions.

Oh and you forgot to delete the Holoinventory config. :)

Our server is updating right now, problems with dimensional anchor and auracascade is fixed.

Actually a lot of configs are there that aren't necessary, just not really worth trawling through the config directory and cleaning it up.

Same message for different mobs and abilities every time new mobs are spawning.

No errors, crafting issues are solved. There is still one, you cant craft a advanced turtle but thats a cauldron use.
Server is much more stable than before.

Thats pretty normal for infernal mobs, its a very verbose mod, not really an error its just changing what its trying to spawn due to the ability blacklist.

Yeah, that's insane, I can see why you'd need to get that out.

Also @Caigan I've just killed the Wither again in a Compact Machines iron room, and Infernal Mobs health bars aren't showing again. I'm not sure if it's the Wither or the use of Compact Machines (or the two in conjunction), but this seems to be the cause of that bug I brought up a few posts back. I don't really mind right now, though, since I'm on a Wither killing spree now that I've got an enclosed room, a reasonably okay sword, and a full set of ender amethyst armor... which seems to make me invincible, actually, but I don't mind. >_> (Scrap that, Nether mobs can hurt me, or at least some of them can via effects, but the Wither certainly didn't... it also didn't give me Wither, which was strange, but I sure ain't complaining.)

Also, I can finally confirm that Epions, Phantoms, and Geists from Lycanite's Shadow Mobs do NOT drop heads. Just killed one of each with a 100% chance beheading cleaver, and I don't have their heads. (And I would, I wear a ring of magnetization since I'm fond of flying hit and runs.) (Oh, I meant to add in the observation that it may be something going on with Shadow Mobs, considering that the heads still turn up in NEI.)

Also also, Natura baby heatscar spiders drop heatscar spider heads, but the standard heatscar spiders (the big, 50hp ones that are implied to be the mommas) drop standard spider heads. No idea if the issue is on Natura's side, Headcrumbs' side, a config mismatch, or if it's even fixable on your end, but I figured I'd letcha know regardless.

Oh, another oddity: dead Withers can apparently spawn geists, likely since they technically count as undead. I've also seen them spawn Open Blocks ghosts, too, if that's relevant.

That 9x-er could be useful... if you get the loot thing sorted out... and make it like an ultimate item (Max company rep and costs a lot)

Here's an interesting conundrum - my HQM books seems to have been reset, but another party member says his is fine.

I host/play on a private server with a couple friends. We recently upgraded from 0.0.8.1b to 0.1.0 (I deleted the 0.0.8.1b HQM players.dat & players.dat-backup files, as instructed).

The upgrade went smoothly, I cheated in a book (/hqm edit) to get us back to approximately where we were in the questline and faction rep, then created a new party and invited one of my friends to it. He accepted the invite, joined the party, and was synced to my cheated progress. No problem so far.

However, after the last server restart (about 1.5 hrs ago) and upon logging in to the server, I was given a new QUEST tablet and my progress was seemingly reset. My friend says he's still in the party and everything looks fine on his end - I'm still the party leader from what he can see. When I go to the party list (for the world), I can see the party I created but I'm no longer a member.

I've tried restoring the players.dat-backup file and resetting the server but that didn't do anything noticeable (not to mention that both players.dat and players.dat-backup had the same timestamp, so I wasn't very hopeful).

Possible causes (that I can think of):
  1. I downloaded a copy of my server's "world" folder to my local "saves" directory so I could test out some stuff in single player. Thinking this might have confused HQM, though I'm pretty sure HQM stores player data on a world by world basis. Just to be sure, I deleted my local folder of The Ferret Business and re-downloaded from the FTB launcher.
  2. Something to do with cheating up the quests and or faction rep. Possibly triggered by the server restart.
Possible solutions:
  1. Cheat up through the quests and faction rep again, start a new party.
  2. ???
Sidenote: unless I'm missing something, will a backup mod (e.g., AromaBackup) ever be included? I added it to 0.0.8.1b but forgot to do so after updating to 0.1.0, so no backups to restore from :(

Otherwise, really enjoying the modpack!!!

Very weird! It sounds like the quest progress got slightly corrupted I'm guessing.

As for back up utility, I'm looking into world state checkpoint right now, possibly.

Forgot to mention a bug report (assuming I'm not just being a noob): I can't repair crossbow bolts in my personal crafting grid (2x2) or in a vanilla crafting table. They can be repaired in a Tinker's half-slab crafting table ONLY if the bolts are in the center square (repair material can be in any of the surrounding squares). They can also, of course, be repaired in a tool station/forge.

This is using a steel bolt and tip with blue slime leaf fletching if that matters. Haven't tested with other types of bolts.

I checked out Iguana's config, but it doesn't seem like there is a whitelist per tool/ammo so I'm guessing it's something that's hard coded, especially since crossbows/bolts are relatively new to TiCon.

Thanks for the quick reply on my earlier issue. I ended up going with resetting HQM and cheating back up again. Everything works so far, but I have yet to restart the server again. Fingers crossed!
