Could there be a different quest that gives you the Mega Packager than the one that gives you crates? I'm starting to think I should just throw out the extra packagers since I have no use for them beyond the first, unless I'm missing something to do with automation.
Oops, that quest was supposed to be turn-in planks, not detect planks.

Also, when attempting to put Quad-compressed cobble into crates (1,500 FMC each), the crate won't take more than one piece at a time, and then proceeds to think it's only got 1k FMC instead of 1.5k.
I'm going to rework some of the FMC crating system to account for this, so its a bit easier to understand without the contract guide I need to rewrite.

Morph is currently counting special versions of mobs as different mobs entirely.
This isn't really something I can change myself, its how the mods themselves handle different variations. I'll see if I can blacklist these specific variations.

Since to get morph flight now u need to kill a wither. the quest should more so point to killing a wither boss and using its body for your first flight morph so much more perks then the old standard bat form of flight

Is the Nether also bound on the seed?
Yep, Overworld, Nether, and End are bound by Seed from what I remember.

Its about Thaumcraft and the "Arcane Working Table".
Hmm that's super strange. That might help point towards whats causing the other inventory issues as well. I'll note it down as and keep looking up more information on these issues, as that is very odd.

Some of this stuff is not documented well, but it is a ton of fun when I can get it to work. Is this the only thread for Ferret Business (this giant 175 page), or can I just create new threads?
I know, I didn't have time to rewrite the contract guide I originally had (which caused crashes due to a bugged item display). I'm hoping to get one set up for next update though.

As for discussions : in the forums, keep it limited to this thread, as I don't easily scan through the rest of the forums. My signature now has a link to the pack's Discord server, where I'm more likely to respond through the day.

I'm not sure if it's been noticed/discussed/reported already, but quite a few quests have wonky behavior with what's supposed to be submitted since the update
Yup, reported, I know how to fix it too, its just wonkyness on how HQM handles ore dictionary things.

with the Fluxed Crystals 2 issue..should we even use it? if the refining listing is messed up, seems a bit.."do not touch"-ish.
Probably better to avoid. I have a good fix courtesy of TheBlueTroll that will go in next update.

also i have a 5x5 patch of cursed earth in a dark room which doesnt appear to be giving the accelerated spawn rate?
Cursed Earth can be very finicky to its spawn conditions, not sure why.

No official documentation yet (I don't have time with surgery coming up, but its something I'd like to do)

You could always pop into the Discord to ask questions, I tend to respond there throughout the day for smaller questions and whatnot.

Unless they added something to this part of the boss progression recently, I should be fine.....
Knowing them, they might have at some point. I'm not sure, though.

I will look into it. Sounds like a interesting puzzle to work on.

Not for sure. I'm getting bored with this though. I need a change. Something to do while I am sitting around not playing on this save. I think I will look through the mods and see which one and if possible why. Not like I will find anything. Will give me something to do to put off making those open computer computers. Those recipes look like something that needs preparing for.

Yeah, there is. It's in the Twilight Forest wiki, but from off the top of my head it's naga to minoshroom to hydra to lich to knights to yeti to queen to undertroll? to giant to whatever is in the thornhedge. Should stop at there as AFAIK there's no boss there.

Quick check, is anyone able to get into the Lich Tower after defeating the Naga boss in Twilight Forest? Just tried it, and while I got the achievement for the Naga and picked up it's scales drop, the curse of the tower is still in place, which means I can't break blocks to get in. Unless they added something to this part of the boss progression recently, I should be fine.....
follow the twilight forest ingame achievements they are literally the progression seals
if u have gotten the previous achievement then it let u even try to do the next place, u also need to pick up the boss drop after the game sees u killed it not before else u will need to drop the boss drop and pick it up normaly again

Not for sure what is going on. Since yesterday it takes a few minutes for me to get more then 10 FPS whn loading the pack. If I wait those fewe minutes out before loading the save it will give me my regular >25 FPS while in save (not for sure on this part as I just waited awhile before loading the pack and was still only getting low FPS for a very long time >10min). I switched to a instance on the FTB launcher to have easier access to the console. It seams to perform exactly the same. No message shows in the console when the FPS returns to normal.

The game is saving every time I open the "ESC" menu. It is saving the entire game. Not for sure what impact this would have on LAN games.

This really took awhile? 689302 * 0.001 /60 = 11min 49sec? And then is was starting a second pass. LoL

Did notice before this that Aroma Backup wanting to backup the world every time I loaded it added a lot to the worlds load time.

Adjusted settings in Aroma Backup to turn off backup at world load. Adjusted "Matter Overdrive.cfg" to keep it from checking for updates, and turned off autocalculation. Going to turn auto calculation back on as it doesnt' seem to be effecting anything and I don't know what it does. It took 3 minutes for the save to load to the point where I could move the character at <5fps.

should probably note I re-enabled all the other mods after their test cycle. The config changes stayed unless stated otherwise. (found out just now I hadn't re-enabled inventory tweaks, did that now.). Forgot I was testing crafting tale access lag and not world loading. LoL. Might be a good time to note that crafting tables and assembly halos have no access lag, crafting station has a little access lag, and production table takes 3sec or more to access.

I somehow managed to not disable all of NEI. Nevermind. I disabled the curse ones. Somehow I got the folders mixed up. That really doesn't help. I'm taking a break. Not for sure how long I had the instances mixed up. I am fairly certain it was only this last pass. Will try disabling NEI later. Might also test disabling journeymap to see if that helps my FPS issue on load. Possibly at least.

Alrighty, I have been having a LOT of issues with the pack lately. Pretty much every time I restart my PC, I have to delete either masterseeddata or mastermutationdata. I have also been getting a lot of freezes with the pack that require me to restart my PC to fix. I just reinstalled this morning, and now I am getting this crash on world load.

Hum, well looking at the twilight forest achievements.... Nope, according to the achievements, the Lich is supposed to be next, with Mooshroom Minotaur and presumably the Hydra following after. Which is what I thought it was, so weird. Also reloading the game doesn't seem to have fixed it.
Ahh, killing a second naga got it working, interestingly enough. Not sure what happened here, but meh.

I just tried it with journey map disabled. Startup framerates increased much earlier then before. I was thinking of re-anabling it. You comment reminded me that there should be plenty of option available in game now to be able to play without it.

I watched a personality on Twitch called "Soaryn". He keeps going on about how maps destroy your sense of direction as people get used to using them (something like that at least). It got me to thinking of how I used to spend forever trying to figure out dungeons, even to the point of drawing up my own maps in the phantasy star series using graph paper. Ever sense I have played games that have minimaps I find myself referring to the map more and more. I am wondering if that getting lost and finding my way was many of the things I lost over the years for my enjoyment of playing video games. I keep thinking of playing without them, I am so scared to miss a secret area or walk by a good item that I end up going back to them. Kind of a hard play style to break. Especially since some games use the minimaps heavily and won't turn them off (at least I don't think the borderlands 2 map can be turned off).

Wasn't really trying to derail this thread with my post. Will just pop this in instead of posting on it again.

I like the map. I just think for me, and possibly only me, it might be fun to try and play some games without it. Whether or not I will ever get around to it is a different matter.

I have close to perfect sense of directions in MC caves lol. I can find my way out of massive cave systems without any problems even without the map, even without any kind of system like some use(placing torches only on right side and such). But i use the map to scout above ground to check for world gen/villages/biomes etc etc, it also lets me focus on future projects when i can just get a quick glance at a map and travel in the direction i planned.
Saves so much time compared to running around like a headless chicken and focusing on where to go next.
Without a map i quickly get frustrated and think the game needs one added lol since it takes time away from focusing on other things.

I looked at previous pages, not this one..my bad.

Seems like a simple "minecraft screwed up its chunks" error..never seen it before. quick google search simply called it a corrupted save. that's it.

If it is the chunk I think it is, then I am 90% sure I will be missing a large chunk of my base if I reset the chunk.
If I knew how I would go into MCEdit and remove the block I think it is.

when in doubt, make a backup :)

or, use AromaCore's backups...but they are by default, once every hour..so..might lose a lot.

I'll check what backups I have, but I might lose my end farm I built. I was also having issues with inventory and world not being quite synced properly. I would reload the world and have my earlier inventory, effectively duping items.

EDIT: I am diving in with MCEDIT, let's see what we can mess up, shall we?

haha my inventor randomly drops things too. like i said, make a backup so nothing goes horribly wrong.
i had problems last version with it changing the items in my inventory. so good luck to ya in fixing it. (and what block is it?)

Alright, deleted the block: I am now getting a new error. Fatal connection error: connection has been terminated. It is a SSP world, but it dumps me to the multiplayer menu. I have come to the conclusion it is an item in my inventory, based on what I have been finding for the same error. It loads the world, but when I click resume game it fires a single phaser rifle shot and terminates. I'll see if I can figure out which item it is. The block was the golden compact machines block, I got it from a blind bag, so that may have been part of the issue.

EDIT: Downloading NBTExplorer to mess with my inventory. Fun.

EDIT2: It appears my inventory is... empty, in NBTExplorer. Not sure what is going on.

EDIT3: At this point, being unable to edit my inventory... my world might be junk. I'm going to try getting rid of WAILA to see if is it an issue with the block I am looking at, but other than that I am out of ideas.

So, I have somehow fixed my issue by deleting the NBT data it had stored for my character, and doing the one small MCEdit change.
I am now happily playing on my old world, with none of the old issues I had, so I think my NBT was messed up for some reason. More playtesting will reveal if more issues arise. Anyway, yeah. I deleted the random number/letter nbt in my player.dat folder, but still somehow have my inventory unaffected. Seems legit.
