Also once you fix it and to anyone else. Make a back up every now and then (I do it when I compleat a chapter in the book or kill a big boss for the first time)

Or add aroma backup (and required core) which basically does that for you. I've added it to any pack that lacked it, it's a world saver.

Corrupted chunk as expected, You'd have to use a map editor to regenerate the bad chunk. If you can't or won't do so, then you could restore from a backup or if you don't have one the world is basically dead.

It happens in vanilla, although VERY rarely. However the more mods you have the more likely you could run into it, I'm not sure what's causing it as the log doesn't state it. The chunk is corrupted and so it cannot even tell what was in it to identify the problem.

On the TC side, I finally decided to dump myself into the Outerlands (for the first time ever btw) and get out with that pearl. Learned for myself that the lightning focus is pretty useless there (when I have a decent melee weapon already). But runic shielding is pretty boss, and a good use for the wands.

So that pearl was a nice diversion, and it unlocked a bunch of research. One of them I decided to try - tapping a node with the pearl. Um, whoops. So much for my spare; the main one went to that other wand...

I have also been exploring various forms of wand and staff, including the possibility of an elementium scepter-staff. Had to make a infernal scepter (and the witching gadgets upgraded robes) in order for the attempt to succeed, but realized that was a bad idea anyway - I wanted foci on this. So it became a normal staff instead.

Which brings to my questions this evening:
- In the base TC4, is there any way to craft the full Primal Staff, or was that eventually left to mods to unlock?
- That special armor that unlocked in Witching Gadgets (the Void stuff that has aspects). How do you change the aspect? Is it by creating and placing gems? Want to hold on actually crafting one to prevent diving too deep into that rabbit hole. I mostly want the helm, as a better solution to the warp effect issue.

I had to move my bookshelf to make more room for crops and when I broke it with my axe,only my TC books dropped. I lost all the books I got from the quests and the lexicon britannica. I did keep my book binder though. I'm not sure if this is a glitch or if this is just part of the pack. Other than that I'm loving the pack! Thanks.

Not for sure. In infinity a entire book case disappeared for 3 games sessions, in my base. It didn't reappear until the 4th boot of the server. I had already cheated up its contents as I feel that is valid response to a obvious bug(kinda sucked getting that all sorted and trashed when it reappeared). So bookcases might be misbehaving all around. just rarely.

Having a issue completing the "Brave New World" quest in "Encoding the World". First we used a acclimatized bee and that didn't work. I just tried a standard bee and drone. Their larvae wasn't recognized either. I think another larvae from a mutation was tried before those as well.

Is that the one that requires all the vis to craft? I remember something about clothes matter, associated with the crafting. The suit makes the crafter in thaumcraft. Not silly things like skill or aptitude.

I recall that there's some kind of exploit to get under the vis cap - it basically involves managing to get five pieces of the Thaumcrafter's clothing equipped.

Also saw something involving using a Sanguine Helmet from Blood Magic to lower the cost another 8%.

i ended up cheating in the quest book edit. Then completing the quest that way. I've seen nothing on a solution.
I tried editing the quest. The HQM mod isn't really to friendly when it comes to that. My heart wasn't into it anyways.

- In the base TC4, is there any way to craft the full Primal Staff, or was that eventually left to mods to unlock?
- That special armor that unlocked in Witching Gadgets (the Void stuff that has aspects). How do you change the aspect? Is it by creating and placing gems? Want to hold on actually crafting one to prevent diving too deep into that rabbit hole. I mostly want the helm, as a better solution to the warp effect issue.

Iirc in order to get the research for the primal staff you need to scan the projectile of the primal focus.

[Rahsidap]

I began having a CTL yesterday. 0.9.1 running on a Mineocity server. I am just a few short quests from ME, about 40% complete on Mekanism and have been using both advanced solar generators and the evaporation towers (the version with solar gens for self power) for quite a few hours of gameplay including making half a tank of liquid lithium. Suddenly, after removing two of the solar gens from the tower, it CTLs when trying to open the tower GUI. I broke and replaced the controller, completed the tower using non-solar gen version and the CTLs stopped on the GUI, but when I then went to go place the solar gens, the first placed fine, the second placed, but immediately CTL. I was able to relog and the second gen was properly placed and I was able to access the GUI. No CTLs of any kind prior to this. Any ideas on why and how to fix?

I began having a CTL yesterday. 0.9.1 running on a Mineocity server. I am just a few short quests from ME, about 40% complete on Mekanism and have been using both advanced solar generators and the evaporation towers (the version with solar gens for self power) for quite a few hours of gameplay including making half a tank of liquid lithium. Suddenly, after removing two of the solar gens from the tower, it CTLs when trying to open the tower GUI. I broke and replaced the controller, completed the tower using non-solar gen version and the CTLs stopped on the GUI, but when I then went to go place the solar gens, the first placed fine, the second placed, but immediately CTL. I was able to relog and the second gen was properly placed and I was able to access the GUI. No CTLs of any kind prior to this. Any ideas on why and how to fix?

The information I was able to find on 'java.util.ConcurrentModificationException' errors is that they occur when a list of things is modified at the same time as it's being looped through. I'm guessing that the removal of the solar gens when the controller 'expected' to be able to get information from them may have triggered it. The logging out probably helped because the chunk was unloaded and therefore the controller rescanned what was connected to it when you logged back in.

If my assumptions are correct, then the way to avoid it in the future would be to either break the controller before removing a solar gen, then replace it after the solar gen is in place, or make the changes, log out and then log back in before opening the GUI.

I can only assume that the CTL also acted as a relog. If that is true, then logging out then back in again did not resolve the issue, because after I broke the solar gens, attempted to access the tower GUI, and suffered a CTL, I logged back in, and tried to immediately access the tower GUI with a subsequent CTL. I repeated this four or five times before breaking the controller and replacing it. It also doesn't account for the CTL when placing the solar gen at a different location unless the multiblock structure of the tower somehow tagged the solar gen as belonging to it and when it was placed and began to operate as just a solar gen, it was expecting to be a part of the tower. But that further fails to explain why the first solar gen placed elsewhere did NOT CTL, only the second solar gen.

Ultimately, I was not asking how to prevent it in the future so much as reporting what seems like a bug.

TL;DR: When you make, then break, a solar evaporation tower, it seems to cause CTLs when you attempt to interact with the individual ex-tower parts.

Not for sure. I remember biome and time since last rain effecting it though. Never remember it getting that high though. The one I remember it being the worst on it never went above 400%. I think that was 1.6.4 though, and I kept cancelling rain when it started up.

Had another issue that could potentially be a bug: How the World Enhances => Imag-ine a Better System => Living in the Matrix : After creating Constraint Metal Plates, quest book did not show completion. I crafted 3, then crafted 3 sets (6) and still shows 0/3 (All units created with rolling machine, as metal former not yet an option).

EDIT: I see where this has already been reported by several users, so sorry for the repeat. TPL mentioned in Jan that his dev version has this fixed. Was that Jan dev version put into current version release or is it still dev?
