This pack has nowhere near enough content to wait until a single seed mutates to 10/10/10, and the horrible advice is telling players to go sleep or something while the plants grow. The moment you get those 3 seeds is not in the long run, it's in the beginning where your quests are stuck until you get iron or copper.

That's where you need actual iron, not 10/10/10 seeds, and that's where you need the 3 seeds (or more if you make more seeds yourself, which is a good idea). If you take them, you won't be stuck on the quests, and you won't feel any grind. You'll be doing your "something else" while growing and farming 3 seeds. If you instead just use one seed, based on some OCD-inspired desire to have 10/10/10 seeds *before* you start using the iron, you'll be waiting so long that you'll get bored with the modpack (you maybe won't, but the guy you gave the horrible advice might).
ok this is changed in next update but its easier to get your sugarcanes to 10's and then mutate your metal seeds with your sugar canes as the newly created seed which has to be a metal seed since sugarcane cannot grow on dirt. and this new seed will be somehting like 6/6/6 and then replant again and it'll be 8/8/8 and then again it'll be 9/9/9 and last time it'l be 10/10/10 this is a bit cheaty but it puts you on the fast track

I agree that the 10/10/10 thing is not particularly useful in the early stages, and using 3 seeds gets you more essence earlier, but please remember that what makes you bored won't make others bored.

I've really enjoyed breeding up all of the different seeds (cotton, barley, pumpkins, melons, wheat, etc, all of the flower varieties, all of the botania flowers). Currently I've bred around 70 types of plants and I still have a bundle to go (mainly the mob seeds and the later ore seeds).

Whereas I've seen people basically have one or two plots, I've got 70 :)

I'll try and stick a pic up later when I get a chance.

i tried to make my base compact... and after i bred my botania flowers i had to move my base off my little mountain to the valley below. i didnt do that till after i got gold crops. i got/easily crafted enough magical fertilizer in game to get over a stack of each botania flower. but the shear amount of crops you need, should have takes up a lot of space. even with 4x4 plots for each plant.

You might want to step back from your "My way is the true way" stance, I don't expect it will be well received here… Or at least remember that many people have different approaches to the game (and pack) based on what they consider fun for themselves...
yeah if they just read a lil bit thru the forums you'd quickly find that almost everyone are going about the same thing in a different way

Desman, for the second time, NOBODY gave me advice to go to sleep while the plants grow, that was MY OWN idea. I guess I never should have posted it because you can't let it go now. LOL

All advice is given with good intent. If it turns out poorly, well so be it, we all make mistakes. But guess what? The best learning experinces in my life have been those in which I made a mistake... my DWI 30 years ago, for instance, is what got me to go back to college and finish my degree. If the DWI never happened, I might still be a loser drunk, or I might even be dead or in jail for ruining some innocent person's life with my behavior.

Anyhow, back to gaming, I know this isn't the right forum for this stuff. But I just had to get up on my soapbox and preach a little bit. Carry on, no hard feelings towards you. Live and let live.

We are regrowing the world though :)

At some point I'd like to grass up as much of the land round me, plant trees, put down beaches. Then I'm going to breed up as many animals as I can and let them go. Hopefully I'll get far enough into witchery to start altering biomes so that the murky water can turn back to blue.

A long way to go though.

Question, the "What the world is made of" quest grouping is stopped at 40%, and I've finished all the quests in it (and the repeatables multiple times), so does anyone know what unlocks the next quest (I'd assume a quest for the regular infusion stone), or is it dummied out currently?

I have limited internet and use MultiMC, where I run Agrarian, and Crash Landing well. I discovered Regrowth last night and really want to play it. Regrowth is extremely leggy. From the title screen, all the way into the game. I click on the game I want to play and have to wait for it to highlight, punching trees is torture. I can play it fine through the FTB launcher, but cannot be on line. I am using the same MultiMC setup as all the other packs.

Anyone else running this on MultiMC?
Any ideas on how to fix it?

Ive tried to run this through MultiMC also. My first problem with conflicts between some ThaumicExploration Binding, but finally got it fixed. Now my problem seems to be when I log into the game I spawn a Normal Map and not a Wasteland. How did you fix that problem? Or did you even have that problem?

you may need to progress in other quest chains to unlock further in that particular one

The Agricraft Sprinkler setup is wonderful. HIGHLY recommended. Once you get those iron plants going, the modpack really beings to speed up.

Without sprinklers, I got a new plant to sprout in a single row setup every 90 to 120 minutes (small sample size, but its very slow). With sprinklers, I'm getting a new plant to sprout in a single line every 10 minutes or so. It's an amazing difference.

i was wondering about forestry farms. they need apatite to work correct?

you are right but i was hoping to make farms automate them at some point. and early game golems become troublesome when their are so many of them. i was planning to make the valley a "oasis" of life with a giant wooden wall of trees around it

nvm i realized that the fertilizer was added with saltpeter... yay nether mining here i go.

I tried a slightly older version of Forge, and that worked. You can also start one in the FTB launcher, and then copy the game save to the MultiMC instance. I have used that method before.

thephoenixlodge your mod pack is very interesting. i have enjoyed it a bit along with TerraFirmaPunk modpack. i personally like how you got all the mod tiers going and using botania for crafting of the magical crops seeds and other items. it was refreshing in a way. i was however wondering about 0.7.0 update. is it already waiting for the ftb team? or are you still working on it?

Are you sure you are playing the same pack as the rest of us? I have been busy non stop, between Witchery, Botania, Building multiple farms, Exploring the Dream, Making Looni-Loot farms, Exploring the oceans, enchanting gear, automating fuel production, and so much more…

In fact I was so impressed with the sheer volume of stuff to do, I goaded Thephoenixlodge into setting up Patreon so I could reward him for his efforts… something I had not done before…

You might want to step back from your "My way is the true way" stance, I don't expect it will be well received here… Or at least remember that many people have different approaches to the game (and pack) based on what they consider fun for themselves...

You need at least some iron and copper to do everything you mentioned. You won't get enough of either fast enough by using one seed.

Your way may be fun to you, but a lot of others will see it and decide to play something else because they don't like waiting forever for a single plant to grow. Your way makes it look like you *have* to do it so slowly, while there is a much faster way.

My objection has to do with the impression that a lot of players will get from this one-seed nonsense. By all means, grow as many 10/10/10 seeds as you like any way you like.

The problem is when youtubers and everyone here is telling new players to do that. That's where a lot of the new guys will think that the modpack is grindier than it is. You really don't need to wait long to get resources that are necessary to advance, while doing it with one seed makes that a lot slower.

Relax, you are not the only one who came up with that idea. It's been a plague here (in my opinion). I understand that it's given in good faith, but you need to understand where my correction is coming from, and that it also is in good faith.

Install the fastcraft mod. It really helps with lag.

Just curious, What are the chances of Ex Nihilo being added to this pack? Im not a MOD expert, So I dont know if you can remove certain aspects from a mob, but I was thinking, I would like to have Crooks added. Just for the Extra chance of Saplings, It kinda sucks to harvest all those leaves and get 1 sapling. I have harvested about 20 trees and gotten 1 sapling each time and the last time I got 0 saplings. So now I have to restart the whole process of getting another sapling again. Crook would be nice for Extra chance of Saplings.
Also, is there a chance of getting VeinMiner into the pack? (Yes I know, I can add it myself, but would be nice if it was actually PART of the pack)

Huh, I was kinda thinking that, but I have all the components to make the next catalyst, so I figured the quest for it ought to have unlocked already.
yeah but usually the quests wont unlock unless you got the appropriate seed for the materials . for example you wont get access to the laser quests and such until you make redstone seeds even though you can get redstone with the catalyst by using glowstone :)

i doubt it would be added since the author wanted to shy away from mods that are usually in every modpack ie extra utils and the such

I wish crook had been on its own Separate mod pack. instead of being attached to Ex Nihilo. That crook is a very nice item and sucks you have to add the rest of the Mod pack just to use it.
