I've submitted v1.1.3 to the third party pack team! Yay! It shouldn't be more than three days until it goes public.
As before, the changelog will be a secret until the update hits, but I'll say this:
The crash upon worldgen has been fixed. Thanks to @Migui, @goth_child67, @TheBlueGenie, @Nezraddin, and everyone else who bug tested for helping with that. You guys rock! :D
I removed CopperTools, so any ruby/sapphire/peridot armor you currently have will be deleted. This is unfortunate, but Project Red added their own gem armor, so you can re-craft it as long as you have the resources.
For those of you who are curious, I added XU to the pack. The only things I disabled on it were the Angel Ring and the QED; you can use Jetpacks and regular crafting tables (or modded crafty thingies) instead of those. Good job to everyone who helped research XU and convince me to include it. :)
I also made the BC and GC Refineries interchangeably craftable.

There were many other changes, but you'll have to wait until the update to see those. :D

Type1Ninja, is there any mods in this modpack that adds new types of food to minecraft? The reason why i ask is because I'm tired of the vanilla mc food, and the some other people I've been watching play ftb modpacks have had dozens of different types of foods I've never seen in Minecraft.

the mod you are most likely referring to is pam's harvestcraft and i don't believe it is in the pack currently.
EDIT: It is not in the pack currently.

It is not in the pack currently, and probably will not be. You can add it yourself, but I'm struggling to keep from adding too many superficial mods like that. The content is legitimate and interesting, but it isn't even tangentially related to the theme of the pack. :p

Type1Ninja, now that I am done with first quest series, I want to say that it is well done as introductory tutorial series, very well. Not only is it a good intro for those not familiar with techno modpacks, but also I personally feel that someone new to minecraft would be able to follow along, on top of using the base achievements.

I also love the next series of quests. I don't feel pressured at all to do any of them, but at the same time they give me temporary goals to aim for while allowing me to start focusing on my own goals, and when I happen to complete, I get a bonus. Well done. The only thing that I have to say is that don't see anything on applied energistics, which is one of most hardest mods to get into but what you can accomplish with it is truly amazing.

Writing a quest line for AE2 is a really difficult task because the ME systems are so varied. I can possibly write one up and send it to T1 for him to approve and add in if he wishes. It would be the very basics though mostly explaining a starter system that i like to use and a few tricks. I would most likely throw a blank quest in there purely for explaining channels tho I could possibly do it in an ME drive quest as well.

I'm so glad you like the tutorial quests! :D
"Someone new to Minecraft could follow it" is really high praise. :)

To both of you, about AE2:
There ARE AE quests. They're gated behind Barrels, Iron Chests, and Refined Relocation as sort of a mini-questline, similar to steel-making.
That said, there isn't anything on advanced stuff; the information I've covered is what's necessary for an infinitely-deep Soaryn chest. :p
If you would read through that quest and then cover all/some of the stuff I haven't, it'd be great. No pressure, though; the quest-book doesn't have to get that advanced. :)

YES!!!!! XU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As soon as 1.1.3 comes out, I will play on the server, but make a new base for meself.
I'm glad you're as excited as I am! :D

Upon reading through the quest it doesn't explain a few things:
  • how to get fluix crystals
  • how to get more charged certus quartz without mining
  • the 1k storage cell can hold much more than the 1024 items that you stated

  • add a detection quest for fluix and explain to get them throw a nether quartz crystal a charged certus crystal and a piece of redstone dust in a source block of water
  • add a detection quest for a charger and explain that it allows you to create charged certus from normal certus but it cannot be pure.
  • change the text to 127 Stacks of a single item. or 65 Stacks, while holding 63 Different items instead of 1024 items
  • possibly add in a 1 time quest to trade 5-10 certus quartz for 1 charged certus quartz in case people get really unlucky with the seed

EDIT: Can't wait for 1.1.3 to make my completely OP hammer :D. Hopefully you don't nerf the vanilla tinkers durability values.

I found another problem on the server, meteorites arent falling. Is that a thing that needs to be solved in the config?
