nope.. only this one change in .json files. Then what I did, step by step:
1) place farm
2) place powered soil manually (farm fails to do that automatically in this ver. for some reason)
3) plant seeds
4) light up the place
5) power the farm
6) click 3x3 button (without this click it doesn't work)
and it starts to grow.
As for power draining - it drains only on growth tick.

It could be sth with biome or sky view. Let me test that real quick and I'll edit this post with the results.
EDIT: works in plains and mushroom island. also there is no need for a clear sky view

Ok so I did the step by step instructions and it still isn't growing the seeds. When I click 3x3 it drains 2000 RF but then sits there and does nothing. Every time I hit 3x3 it will drain 2000 power but still not doing anything. Hitting the 3x3 button a bunch of times to drain more power also doesn't work, it just sits there and does nothing when I stop clicking and the seeds are still at 0% growth. Here's a screenshot of a test setup I did to see if your suggestion worked. (http://imgur.com/B3C5YJR) Did I set it up wrong or misplace anything? I looked at some videos for the mod and I should be doing everything right. I am not sure what to do...

Anyone having an issue with invisible mobs? Every time after a death, the mobs that were within sight become invisible making it impossible to fight back lol

anyone happen to know if farming stations can handle cocoa bean farming?

EIO Farms can handle anything. Even berrybushes.
The ore berry bushes, EIO the farming stations, a layer of lillypads under the bushes. It's one of the last great OP cross mod interactions. Don't tell anybody.

OK since many ppl are still asking about flux-crystal farm not working I'll re-post the solution.

In general the problem is that crystals don't grow. They don't because there was a mod update but the config for it was NOT updated properly and is missing 1 line in the .json files. I fixed that manually and uploaded files. All you need to do is replace your own configs. They are somewhere in c:\games\minecraft\MaterialEnergy4\minecraft\config\fluxedCrystals\
That was the first step.
Then what I did, step by step:
1) place farm
2) place powered soil manually (farm fails to do that automatically in this ver. for some reason)
3) plant seeds
4) light up the place (seed need A LOT of light. torch withing 4blocks is a must from what I tested)
5) power the farm
6) click 3x3 button (without this click it doesn't work, 5x5 etc is good too. just remember to actually click some button)
and it starts to grow.
As for power draining - it drains only on growth tick.

Works in plains and mushroom island. also there is no need for a clear sky view

Hope it will help. cheers

This might be intended function as just a button to place the p soil is a little unnecessary. If so the resapie might beed to be removed for that soil.

Not sure if this is actually a glitch or not, as carbon nanotubes will break down into a massive amount of regular carbon and the Decomposer has an invisible buffer that will fill up if there is no space to put the elements into. I'd hook up some kind of drain to the Decomposer to make sure it's actually all emptied out.

While i haven't decomposed nanotubes so far, i can confirm there is some kind of buffer we can't see with the decomposer. I put in a Solar Generator Power Multiplier x64 once and it took like 5 mins to finish even tho the GUI showed nothing in the top slot, just a bunch of stuff appearing at the bottom.

Ah that's right each tube is like a stack of carbon if not more. I think it's like 4 stacks of coal to make one diamond.

Just a heads up, dunno if it's a bug with minechem, but as i decomposed a whole bunch of carbon nanotubes(over 64 stacks), theres a glitch where carbon will continue outputting despite there being nothing to decompose...+side, u get unlimited carbon, -ve side, u cannot decompose anything else...just fyi

For a good time decompose a nether star generator X64 .... I had to build another decomposer so I could get back to work.

also helps if you hook it up to the ME :)

this is what I ended up doing

I just used those files for the JSON fix for Fluxed Crystals. When I break my crystal plants, I always get 2 of the seeds back, not 1. For everything. Checked JSON files and min and max are all set to 1 for every seed type, but I get 2. Any thoughts on what to fix?

What to fix? Nothing. Vanilla mechanic. When farming normally don't you usually get more seeds back than you planted?

Mods that add their own unique farming aspect don't typically have exponential return on seeds.

If I was getting 2 vanilla wheat seeds back for each plant I broke, that's vanilla mechanic. When I get 2 LEGENDARY bag seeds back for every plant I break, there's something wrong in the configuration or implementation of the mod. This can be confirmed by looking at the JSON file which specifies that the min seeds returned on harvest is 1, and the max is 1.

EDIT: P.S. If this is how it's supposed to work, I might as well just /give myself 2,000,000 Legendary bags.

@jaredlll08 (mod dev) is aware of that, he posted few pages ago that at that moment he just didn't know what was causing this problem.. but I imagine he is working to solve this.
But feel free to report it in his mod thread HERE
