hm btw, I've noticed earlier that OpenBlocks elevator recipe is disabled :(
Can we re-enable it with something like Thaumic infusion onto the Levitator or other similiar blocks? If ModTweaker supports adding thirdparty non-thaumic blocks as infusion recipes, that is.
It would fit nice for some purposes, imho.

Weren't the recipes disabled in favour of pneumaticcraft elevator? It basically does the same thing, but needs more planning and is, well, less "cheaty". The thaumcraft and openblocks versions could be added back with more expensive recepies, like in teleportation-level. We already have things like flying unicorns and magic-wielding sticks in this pack, so re-adding those elevators wouldn't ruin balance or unity.

Basically right all around. Nobody will ever, ever use the PneumaticCraft elevator if they can use the OpenBlocks version, so its a case where it makes sense to disable one or the other (or jig the recipes which takes a lot more effort). But it harms absolutely nothing to just go and restore the recipe if you can't be bothered to do it the PneumaticCraft way.

Two things:
1) Speed upgrades are basically required
2) Speed upgrades suck ass to make (unless Jason has done something to make the recipe friendlier, I forget)
Yes I did something with the Speed Upgrades:
Assembler.addRecipe(upgradeSpeed, sugar * 4, lubricantCell, chemicalBlueDye * 576, 160, 30);
Assembler.addRecipe(upgradeSpeed, sugar * 4, lubricantCell, watermixedBlueDye * 576, 160, 30);
These two
(thats v3.2)
Dont really remember what it is in 3.1

That's awesome, yay :)

actually, I love much more how it fits the overall tech design (than the openblocks version); but the issue I have its only 1 block :( I'd hope to have a nice 2x2 elevators...

You can connect multiple elevator together. Simply put the base next to each other, no need to be in square either as far as i know. Then simply put the railing (forgot the name but what serve as pole for the elevator) and your set. You can have a 4x4 elevator if you so wish.

Edit: Keep in mind you need to put the base elevator on the same height though. So if you use multiple layer (to go higher), then you need the same ammount on each layer (though i'm not 100% sure of this o.-)

Sorry for asking this again but what is the best manual mining tool? tried the jackhammer and it was very bad since it crushes ore block. Is the IC2 mining laser any good? Ofc we also got the gregtech picks and electric tools and then you also have to conside voltage tier and material one can use. Think the best material i should have atm is blue steel and i seriously dont think i can afford to run HV tools all the time so im probably stuck in MV or LV tools (whats the difference anyway?). I have been using excavagate wand focuses earlier with thaumcraft so i know those are decent aswell. Am i missing something? Right now im thinking of testing an IC2 mining laser and maybe making a nice LV mining drill with a blue steel head (i got 512v blast furnace with CuNi coils to work with for materials).

I always have 2 mining tools on me:
-Advanced Diamond Drill (enchanted) - probably too expensive for you right now
-Pick of the Core with Disintegrate and some other enchants - it's insanely fast digging through stone and ores (which count as stone), but useless against other materials. I use it to mine veins, you can literally hold LMB and go.

Is disintegrate an enchant or something else, havent found any information about it.
Seems like a lot of that requires some good enchants, do you have some kind of XP farm to achieve that or where you just lucky?

Maybe i could extend that question, what kind of xp/mob farms do you guys usually do? Think that is someting im really lacking atm

managed to make pickaxe of the core and enchant it with repair and disintegrate with osmium enchanter, holy moly is it quick. Don't think ive ever had a pick that instantly mines stone before :) It is still 1x1 but since it mines everything you point it at it still works pretty well. Guess you just run ahead with a slight tilt down and you should be fine

The osmotic enchanter allows you to do any enchant basically for vis instead of xp, and disintegrate is an enchant from thaumic tinkerer.

Note the osmotic enchanter is a lot harder to get in the coming update, mainly because it allows basically any enchant from a near trivially mass producible resource. You can make it, just not too easy.

Is there a limit to how many enchants you can add with an osmotic enchanter? could only add 2 and then it showed no additional enchant options.

Small noob thaumcraft question: How do you increase the stability of the infusion altar with thaumcraft the best way? Almost all other modpacks ive worked with i also had botania where you can just make floating glimmering flowers as a stabalizer. Is the only option making candles and crystal clusters?

I don't think there's a limit, but some enchants exclude each other, so you can't have, for example, Repair and Unbreaking at the same time. This goes for many enchants, so usually 3 is max you can get on a single item.

For altar stabilisation candles, crystals and skulls (possibly more, I'm not really a TC expert) work exactly the same as far as I know. So just spam then in a SYMMETRICAL fashion. It's best to do in on multpiple levels, especially under the altar.
