So... a creeper just blew up and vaporized my Twilight Portal, which I now can't fix. Which makes me the saddest Wookiee, because my entire witchery area was built around the other side of that portal. Even worse, I can't even cheat in the actual portal blocks to cheat the pool, because if any two of them touch each other they turn into water source blocks.

I know the idea was to nerf things such that people need to *find* a Twilight pool, rather than just making one and moving in. Is there maybe a way to change the 'catalyst' for a pool, so that you can find/create something from the Twilight Forest and create a pool once you've actually done some exploration in there? Like, requiring a magic map (requiring two common twilight materials to make), or a naga scale/naga trophy (requiring you to kill the first "boss") instead of a diamond?

EDIT: I was able to go into configs and temporarily re-enable portal spawning, so it's fixed now... but I do still like the idea of requiring a Twillight boss drop to be able to make your own...

The twilight forest is due for a rework, I just haven't got around to it yet. I am actually going to remove all ore spawns entirely. I will probably add in a custom item that will create a twilight portal instead of randomly finding one.

removing ALL ore spawns entirely from Twilight Forest seems a bit exessive :s why not cut OreGen there by 75%, so there's MUCH less ore than in the Overworld. Maybe also raise spawn rates of hostiles there more?

Also, I didn't see before, but why was Aether removed from Hubris? was there an issue with an item, or was it something else?

I allowed access to the twilight forest before I was even ready, and it honestly shouldn't have been in the pack until I molded it into the progression system how I wanted. However it is too late for that, so until then I can discourage "living" there. It already offers an entire dimension without taint and has animals for now. However next update will not be so kind :)

The Aether was removed because it caused health bonus's to duplicate when you changed dimensions as well as breaking the sojourners sash and globe trotters sash from Botania.

Ah, so the health bonus thing is Aether :p I thought it was Artifacts. Wondered why I had 40 hearts >.< Doesn't matter, where I live now I'm getting 1 and 2-shot. Turns out Crimson Cultists don't care for you turning the land Taint-free.

As for Twilight Forest, when you put it that way, yeah I can see the issues there. At least leave the Ore Gen in Naga's Nest and Hills though, otherwise, there's really no point to either. Never many chests in Hills, and Naga has nothing worthwhile, really.

Only thing i don't like is why you have weeds enabled in this modpack for agricraft, isn't getting food hard enough without weeds overtaking my beautiful crops? besides remove weeds and you can just lower the spread and mutation chance to make up for it.

Weeds are set to false.

I have a question, actually; Is there someway to help fix the lag that Adventure Backpacks causes? I can't even rely on it as useful adventuring storage. I've had to leave them at home, as chests, or go exploring at sub-15 FPS.

I seem to have the same problem i think another kind of traveling bag is needed for this modpack while i do love the adventure packs i think they cause more harm than good with there FPS drops.

hmm not sure what could have caused them to be disabled maybe a mod update or something but knowing there suppose to be disabled bring relief to me having turned them off xD don't like messing with config files on a good modpack.

If you're focusing Thaumcraft over Botania or Ars, you can use the Magic hand Mirror -> Hungry Chest -> Golem Sorting method. it does require you to set up an Energized node for the best speed though.

not sure if it's been mentioned here. but I'm getting ALOT of spam in console... my computer handles it fine since it's quite nice... so I didn't notice it at all until I accidently tabbed over to it. but I'm guessing that something doesn't like the biome changes.
here;s a tiny snippit but I was getting several every second I think. the location does change (it spams the -2 -4 8 8 the most though)

that's teh ClimateControl mod. I checked, and the impact on performance is negligible. You'd get more impact by setting up 2 "Melon Timers" next to each other, really. (Melon Timer is an AVO creation, I forget which video). The biggest hits in Performance are going to be the Entities created by the Taint, some of the status effects in Infernal Mobs, and, biggest of all, Adventure Backpacks. if you can weather those storms, you SHOULD be golden. my PC is decent, but I'm stuck with an i3 dual-core with Multi-threading, the threading having no effect on Minecraft as of now. confirmed it'll work on 1.9 thankfully. on average, I'm at about 10-15 FPS, but it plummets to 4 after Adventure Backpack is put on >.<

EDIT: I'm trying to configure EiraIRC on this pack. if it works, see you all in Hubris' IRC chat!

Those aren't errors, Climate Control just likes logging everything it's doing.

ah ok thanks guys I've never worked with the mod climate Control :3
(the computer I just bought is too nice for me to know exactly if things are majorly lagging anymore ^^; It didn't even blink when I started the pack up on high graphics and 12 chunk distance... on my laptop I always needed to manage all settings to minimum lol... I'm still expecting it to lag or something when I see so much taint spreading)
