Did you download it with internet exploder? If so try with chrome or firefox and see if you still get the same problem. Otherwise try 'open with' and select java from there

Yes we will be skipping 1.5, nothing more will be converted for 1.5 than what already has.

There won't be a 1.5 version. It will going from 1.4.7 to a 1.6 version
