    Did you try the direct connect button? Why do you wanna connect on IP when your server is on localhost?

    Hard to say whats causing it, i see there is a problem in a mineshaft / chunkloader or a corrupt world Can you open the world in a singleplayer game to see if it happens there aswell?

    What OS are you using? did you try to disable your Anti-Virus / Firewall and see if it then works?

    Loading a new world / Chunks will always give some lag, if there is alot happing on the server already this can lag the server out.

    Not sure if there are any plugins yet, i do know there are serversoftware packages who do that / can do that. I myself use MCMA (MCMyAdmin) for that

    Did you install Optifine for DW20 or only for mindcrack (can you post a console logfile to pastebin and link it)?
