In the launcher -> options you can move the slider to allocated more RAM to minecraft.

FTB is 32bit compatible, the biggest difference is that 64bit allows you to allocate more ram then 1GB for the game. Wich makes it (if the computer can handle it) way better due the big ammounts of mods smoother then 32bit.

fihgus is an server mod, it requires a server installation. That's why it prob doesn't work the way you expect. I personally don't know any mods for SP where you have these possibilities.

What pack and version are you using? Does singleplayer startup without problems?

Can you try to delete the NEI configfiles and redownload them? OR backup your worlds and do a force update in the launcher?

I think that the restone signal is just outside the loaded chunks that the quarry loads, you could try to add an chunkloader to see if that fixes it.

UPNP just opens ports for games and programs when they request it, and closes them afterwards.

as stated by TiGG there are problems at the creeperhost repos. They are aware of this and working on it.

not sure mate, a 15 min i got all kinds of error 500 from the creeperrepos. checking the creephost twitter, there are some problems with the reepos atm

i don't see a log or error so hard to say if we know the problem.

Keep i mind that most of the mods are in beta. The modmakers are working their asses of to get bugs sorted. But with all the changes it aint easy.
