Meh, the easiest thing I found for the tank problem was not use cobble, because at least for me, it solves the issue.

Like Peppe said, check your weight. Flight performance should be very good compared to Jet Packs (I feel flight control to be a little wonky. but that could just be me). Also try adding sprint assist, it seems to increase flight speed.

Try using blocks other than cobble, it only (At least for me) seems to happen with cobble.

Interesting, I have this problem, too. I never checked other texture packs, I just assumed it was a xycraft bug. Will check later if I get a chance and respond if it seems texture pack related for me as well.

You may run into memory issues with Ultimate. You may want to try FTBLight (or whatever the light weight version of the server is). Ultimate on my server sits at roughly 1.5GB after a restart, and hovers around 2.5 most of the time. My concern is XP is going to suck down a large chunk of memory...

Try hitting F7 it should mark all the spawnable nearby spawnable spaces with a red x. TIL. Never realized that f3 light levels were at eye level.

Yeah I was having them kamikaze drop off of my roof, which I had thought was well lit. I used the F7 trick and 1 square was spawnable. Glad I found it though, I was getting tired of replacing walls.
