Ladders!

The problem is that we're kinda halfway between FTB and general discussion. It's more of a social group conversation than a proper forum thread.
 
Here's another base design brainstorm for you guys - lighting. I'm partial to Nitor and Liquiducts full of lava myself. And inverted orange cage lamps in my reactor rooms:D
 
Liquiducts full of helium plasma or liquid glowstone (not lava, lava's too mainstream) + glass viewer covers (which would be great to have but Immibis Microblocks is a little shit) == epic???

Nah, it's just bad when there's someone shouting: "Hey, talk about hats! talk about MY subject!"

Anyway, I'm looking forward to plasma or whatever it is. I don't like Gregtech (just because of its IC2 base, all this new content powered by MJ would be great) but it's a good decoration I guess.

Glowing liquids are made of win. Single blocks of liquiduct make cool little lamps. I just had an idea for the next TC. Friendly glowing wisps that float randomly within a radius around the block they're placed on. Or have them patrol around golem marker blocks. Maybe even give them some golem functionality.

I do believe there's a config option in the GT configs that makes things that consume energy powerable by MJ, at the standard 5 EU:2 MJ ratio.

See the problem is, that they lock every thread we go off topic in. If they let it continue in a thread. It'd become our chat thread. I guess you could say the Kitty Jail of FTB forums, if you will.

Huh, never thought of liquiducts as lamps. It would be cool if some of the blue liquids also lit up, would make for nice florescent light bars. I can always stick white lamps around them. Ill post a screenshot if it looks cool

Edit:
Its vertical, but it looks cool. Filled it with ice, although you could put anything in it.

Found out microblocks make for excellent ladders, just so long as you stack them up on top of each other with just a cover width difference between levels.
You ascend 8 blocks for the speed of 1 across.

But I don't want it to be a copy of Tekkit. Enough people are accusing us about doing that with the mod pack :P
We can have a name-changing thread, but no "The Thread of Many Names", because it ruins the point. People would call it that, instead of calling it...THAT thread. It'd be like a veteran thing or just for people smart enough to figure it out :P
 
Would be nice to have some kind of shout box. Sort of like somemanga had if anyone is familiar with that site.
