I've been scanning the thread looking for clues, but nothing has answered this for me so I'll ask the question others have: How do I advance into the Thaumcraft questline? I have three quests available/completed: The crucible, the wand and the thaumometer. It says I'm at 23 percent completed...

So air essence in the crucible makes steam. Has anyone explored this as a power source? How did it do?

OK, I have this weird obsession with making balanced shards in the most efficient way possible using a bare minimum of actual shards. For anyone else who shares this, here's what I find that works pretty well to make a stack of balanced shards: 2 stacks of cactus (1 Aqua + 1 Perditio + 3 Herba...

Bear in mind that I've never actually used the thing ... But reading the book, it looks like the terraformer requires Terra vis (from a node) along with essentia (from a jar).

Hey @jaquadro. Good news and bad ... :) Good: The phials of aspects in storage drawers really look terrific. I'll be rebuilding that section of my base after I figure out which color wood I like best for all those phials. Bad: Putting empty phials or warded jars into drawers causes a crash...

Either of those would be terrific. I don't really have a strong preference between A and B, but I'd lean toward whatever's easier to see at a distance, so ... B? Unless the aspect icon could be larger AND offset like A?

And essences! Stick on on your barrel full of coal essence and you'll have 12 coal at a click. Super handy. I also use them for ores and buckets of water (for Thaumcraft crucible) and lava (smeltery).

Just don't forget to whitelist something in the storage bus on the matter condenser!

Good suggestion but it doesn't quite work ... no tooltip and only a stack worth of storage per slot. Plus the drawers look better, IMHO.

If you really want to get rid of any excess, say, gunpowder, you can set up another storage bus on a matter condenser. - Put the storage bus on the drawers and set the priority to 10 (for example. Use the highest number here.) - Put another storage bus on the matter condenser and put gunpowder...

I just died stupidly and lost all my stuff :( or I'd attach a screenshot. I don't know if you can directly spawn in crystallized or phials of essentia, but if you wanted to see how they worked, you could spawn in: 1 alchemical furnace 64 alumentum (or any furnace fuel, it's just fast) 3 or 4...

I haven't even looked at AE yet; no certus quartz. The crystallized essences seem cool but this will be my first time playing with them.

Yep - just went back through and realized there were a bunch of Botania quests I hadn't re-unlocked. Problem solved. :)
