It can be all sort of things, port changed? ip changed? internal ip changed?
I cant really help more then give pointers, it's one of those "hands on" errors... ;)
As things are right now, you can always download FTB server files to a new folder and launch it from there...
But as things are now, the server mod files cant be downloaded automatically like the Launcher does atm, a "server launcher" is a welcomed addition ;)
I for one is unsure if bugs in mods should be posted here aswell?
There seems to be a trend to post everything in here.
Are we supposed to post mods problems?, and are the modders aware bugs are reported here? :)

I like the support site style, i just don't like the current system in use.
only registered members should be able to post "tickets".
It seems that anonymous people forgets to answer back and report if the problem was solved, so there was a lot of double posts :)
Have you tried to delete your ftblauncher and .minecraft folder in the %AppData% folder and restartet FTB?
This really seems to fix everything with FTB atm :P
well, could the change made to minecraft (local server and all) be the reason that alot of people are having FPS problems? Tekkit uses 1.2.5 the old minecraft, and FTB uses 1.4.2 the new minecraft...?
but FTB will have a updatet wiki at some point, and then you should look there ;)
also, FTB just got a new support section, next problem should be posted there ;)
HL2 really got me focused on the story, so did the new gravity gun and how it interacted with items and the world.
but what i liked more then everything else, was the puzzles, "don't step on the sand" mission is a good example.
