    Another option that I could request would be an export / import config option. That way it would be very simply for config sets to be made and passed around without complex instructions on what settings to alter and whatnot. How simple would this be to do?

    You can easily include Optifine yourself. The launcher team made it very simple to add mods to the packs specifically for mods like optifine :)

    I wholly agree. Her mod is one of the few you can count on to have few to no bugs when its released. Mojang can't get pistons to work correctly but she manages to get the much more complex frame system working pretty much perfectly. That should say something :D

    If this is a suggestion for the launcher then I'm sure a mod can move it to the launcher feedback forum for you. :) This would probably need to be done as a separate mod pack as it would require alternative config files. Certainly do-able though.

    Well, no. You just disable the mod on the server and client and then you're sorted. All the recipes and whatnot it changes will revert back to what they were. Nothing more should be needed.

    It checks if there are actual mobs of that type in the area. It does not check that there is a possibility for that type of mob to be within that area (popularly called the escape area).     The FTB launcher does not affect normal Minecraft installs, you can use those for the normal non-modded Minecraft experience :)

    Even if he does, as long as he is planning on updating his own I doubt very much the team will switch them. Of course I'm sure someone from the FTB team can tell you themselves what their plans are on this matter. I'm just going from what I have understood from various streams and forum posts...
