Lets See Some Bases! Give Us a Tour!

If you don't wanna bother with the chest > transpoer setup you could always hook it up to a relay. The relay acts like a chest for machines that put items into adjacent inverntoires, it has a 9 slot buffer, and will auto-output items as the machines need them without needing a redstone signal or...

    Random geo-thermals not taking lava

If it's the hybrid solars the ultimate hybrids produce 512 eu/t during the day and iirc 64 eu/t at night. Sure they cost a lot to create, but it's massive free energy in a single block after you make it, and due to the amount of energy it outputs it's effectively a self-fulfilling system - each...

    Thaumcraft 3 Cheat Sheet (SPOILERS!)

I will say this, get yourself a thaumium pickaxe and enchant it. The first one I enchanted at lvl 30 gave me fortune 3, efficiency 4, and unbreaking 3. I still had 2 diamonds left in my 7 diamond vein and got 4 out of that, then went around hitting all my coal and made another 3 from...

    Question about steam boilers

Any unused steam is wasted fuel. Boilers are for those systems where you need a large, constant power supply. If you're at the stage of only using small amounts of energy in short bursts look towards engines, such as the magmatic ones. Another thing you can do is set up a redstone energy cell...

    Magical Building Blocks in Thaumcraft

Yea, looking at it he probably is. Don't do that, it causes tons of flux, use the research table like a good boy! You'll regret using the crucible for research later when you're swimming in aggressive wisps.

Pulverizer is better than Macerator In GregTec

If he does that with ores and stone and whatnot, people would probably just use more barrels instead.

    Magical Building Blocks in Thaumcraft

Yup, I derped that a bit. At the time I was probably still thinking about how you can take 4 thaumium and 8 iron nuggets to get 5 thaumium, as I used that method to get enough thaumium to make my blocks (made the first 4 thaumium and am keeping them to generate new ones).

    Magical Building Blocks in Thaumcraft

They're made in the arcane worktable. Takes 4 iron and 5 smooth stone, the stone place in a +.

    Coolant (liquid)

You can only get the liquid coolant from removing it from 60k coolant cells, after just checking the 10, 30 and 60k in a transposer. Don't know what the point of that would be other than to fill a tank or something. Possibly a way to save tin while storing a massive amount of coolant.

I can't decide where to live!

For the nether warts I kinda cheated. I have a recreated version of my world in creative, so I flew around till I saw a nether fortress and used the whole them tending to spawn on the same z-axis trick to find a nether wart farm about 300m from my portal. That was the long part. after that I...

need some suggestions to kill my chickens.

If it's still in the game there's the igniter block from rp2. When you give it a signal it'll set the block in front of it on fire, give it a signal again and it'll put it out. This way you could corral all the chickens in one spot, set all on fire, then put out the fire and watch em cook to...

    pipes for boilers...

We went a bit further in the thread which is why I was able to come out to exactly 80 s/t on unpowered ducts. I didn't know they would draw even faster if powered though.

    pipes for boilers...

You're all misusing the liquiducts in these setups >< The limiting factor on the throughput from a single boiler is the boiler itself, not the ducts. Each boiler face can only output 80 steam a tick into a liquiduct, so as long as you have 9 faces attached to a liquiduct system you can then use...

    getting started with Thermal Expansion?

Don't know where you're getting the 48 mj worth of steam on liquiducts. So far the only limitations I've noticed on those is the boilers themselves - a single liquiduct can easily handle enough steam to remove the 720 steam from a 36HP setup. In fact, I know it can handle at least two more. I...

I can't decide where to live!

I ended up deciding to bite the bullet and went about 400m north and pent 3 days to get two chickens, one day there and 2 days back >< Also, I hate the enchanting system, wanting a fortune pickaxe and got an efficiency 4/unbreaking 3 after using my 30 levels : / The other bad thing about the...

When the lack of tin is fixed will I have to make a new world?

Actually, just tested the aluminun can thing and wow, I was kinda lied to by the person that mentioned it in another thread :X It seems the only way to fill aluminum cans is via liquid transposer currently. This does make it useful for pumping lava out of the nether then sending it via ender...

    [TC3]Mutatio

If you don't mind spoilers, check the wiki. There's a large list of item's aspects there. Also, there is an item you can get in the overworld as well that has mutatio, but it's fairly rare.

I can't decide where to live!

I actually have a fairly decent seed I'm playing on right now. It's a green swamp biome next to a mountain ridge with a village. The village is on fairly flat land and has some beekeepers. Due to being a green swamp a lot of the trees are fairly tall, and there are plenty of rubber trees...

When the lack of tin is fixed will I have to make a new world?

Don't forget you can use glass panes and iron nuggets to make tin very easily using thaumcraft. Each glass pane is one of the crystal aspects and each iron nugget is one of the metal aspects, as as long as you get the right ratios to get exactly enough tin you could extend it to turn a massive...

What does YOUR Power Room look like?

Regarding the liquiducts I finally got around to testing them and it takes 9 outputs to power 18 industrial engines, so each steam boiler face can output 80 steam, or 2x the capacity of a golden pipe. Basically, instead of three more pipes you could run three less and get max power. Edit...
