Magical Building Blocks in Thaumcraft

What items do I have to throw into Crucible to get theory for Magical Building Blocks? I'm asking because I always end up with Thaumium.

try looking in the thauminomithingy it should tell you exactly what you need

They're made in the arcane worktable. Takes 4 iron and 5 smooth stone, the stone place in a +.

Not iron, Thaumium. but yeah, that's the recipe, thaumium in the corners, smooth stone in a plus shape

Yup, I derped that a bit. At the time I was probably still thinking about how you can take 4 thaumium and 8 iron nuggets to get 5 thaumium, as I used that method to get enough thaumium to make my blocks (made the first 4 thaumium and am keeping them to generate new ones).

Guys, I think he is talking about doing research the crucible route instead of using a research table, not asking how to make one.

Sorry OP, I've never done crucible style research, so I can not advise.

Yea, looking at it he probably is. Don't do that, it causes tons of flux, use the research table like a good boy! You'll regret using the crucible for research later when you're swimming in aggressive wisps.
