Update: Upon UN-installing optifine, I went from <10 fps to 30-50, depending on what I am doing. Never knew how great minecraft can really look til i got this new card and an HD widescreen LCD monitor...I will miss random mobs and I was hopong to get connected textures working someday...but oh...
