Well at this point I'd just wait for the new packs, but Binnie's Mods is the combination of Extra Bees and Extra Trees.

For the Third party packs such as Direwolf or Mindcrack updates are decided by them (DW20 and MC guys). This is because the mod packs are "theirs" so they are the ones that decide what goes in them.

My eyes, they burn. Apparently adding recipes the way Greg adds them but in a different mod is "hacky." There is so much that can be said about that one post, but I think the best course is to leave it since by now the only ones not disillusioned to Greg's antics are his rabid followers.

Well that's because mattocks are more for farming than digging. If you use a shovel or excavator you can right click to place blocks though.

Semantics really, depending on how you take the word override. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/override I go with definition #3 Basically because his recipe has a higher priority it overrides GT's recipe even if it's not specifically coded to do so.

The same thing happened with mDiyo's recipe for 1 log = 4 planks. He just set it so it would load after GT and add in that recipe so it would override GT's recipe, just like GT does to other mods. Edit: Ninja'd

Personally I just don't want this debacle to hinder the progress on other modpacks without GT in it any more than is necessary. I used to like GT even though I disliked the author's attitude, but this latest stunt has led me to drop it completely and I will be swapping to ngt for v.9 and up...

Yea, small rule of thumb, if the bee is from Magic Bees and the recipe shows to make it with an infusion altar even though it's not made with it, it has no "recipe" and has to be gotten in some other way. Another example is some bee it adds to the nether, but the hive doesn't show in NEI.

My guess is that letting NEI have access to the servers configs would cause a higher data overhead since it would query the server every time you look up a recipe using NEI. It could also open up the server to other possible problems due having the config being open to the mod. One route would...
