Need clarification on redstone energy conduit mechanic

I'm not exactly how sure it works in the 1.4 versions. I believe it works like this though: each example is 100mj/t for simplicity for conduit > machine the machine would get 95 mj/t for conduit > REC > conduit > machine the REC would get 95mj/t and the machine would get 90.25 mj/t, at 5%...

    GregTech Has Gone Too far

Excuse me, I read it wrongly as sexual instead of sexist (bad eyesight doesn't help -_-), but either way there are no undertones there unless you're looking for them. That's why one of the nukes we dropped on Japan was named "Little Boy," why we have words such as "brainchild." why some people...

    GregTech Has Gone Too far

If you think that has sexual undertones then clearly you're the one that's a bit disturbed. Referring to someone's work as their child in some form is nothing new and spans across cultures. Also, I'm not "kissing up" to mod authors, I'm relaying forum rules as well as why the third party in...

    GregTech Has Gone Too far

The two situations are completely different. GT and TiC are both in the FTB packs, that third party mod isn't. RP2 isn't open source, it's closed source, so if that third party mod uses any of Elo's code it goes against her licensing on the code. Even if it's not using her code she doesn't like...

Need clarification on redstone energy conduit mechanic

The 5% loss is only factored when the energy enters KL's energy network, so going condtuit -> cell -> conduit isn't lossy in the 1.5 versions.

    GregTech Has Gone Too far

Well for now I'm holding back on the UE mods again at least until the next 1.5.2 update for the beta packs. Hopefully whomever is working with UE power production and consumption will balance it a bit more so UE doesn't blow all the other choices out of the water. For the most part working with...

    GregTech Has Gone Too far

No, I was referencing the whole him jumping the shark and then ED said he IS the shark. It doesn't fit to have him become the shark that's being jumped since the shark is more of a passive observer than an active villain. As such that meme doesn't really fit in the context of how ED was using...

    GregTech Has Gone Too far

That meme really wouldn't fit that well though. That's the whole mummy hunter becoming a mummy kinda thing.

/sigh http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jumping_the_shark Him being the shark would imply he was caged and all that jazz.

    GregTech Has Gone Too far

The only problem is power generation in universal electricity far outpaces other generation methods to the point where using anything other than UE generators is laughable. I covered this in another thread where you can take the output from a single boiler, put it into 9 large reaction...

    Mod Pack Update

That and from what I hear the loot bags can drop nether stars and portal guns. That and the powerful tools is what turned me off from it, but it's just as easy to remove dartcraft as any other mod if we feel like it gives too much of an advantage.

    GregTech Has Gone Too far

Yup, after reading some stuff in the ic2 forum thread I have to say Greg has done something that is undefensible with forcing the game to crash and has indeed jumped the shark with this change. The only people left that would possibly defend crashing the game because another mod does to him...

    Mod Pack Update

Well, after reading the latest fiasco with GT I have to say focus on updating the ngt pack and have mods with alternate recipes use the Thermal Expansion recipes (like MFR). Greg has jumped the shark with the latest changes and at least dartcraft can be disabled easily.

Time to clear up a faulty rumour

I'm not sure if it does, but if it does that would be one way. The other way would be setting up a system similar to KirinDave's where he had a piston door that opened and closed whenever someone with his key card walked close enough. Logically this would also work with a drawbridge door but...

Time to clear up a faulty rumour

I'm not familiar with logistics pipes, but if you can get a wireless system that outputs a cobblestone onto a pressure plate to open it up that might work.

Time to clear up a faulty rumour

Yea, since drawbridges only extend to 15 blocks (down from the original 16 due to redstone's constraints) it makes it so you can use the drawbridges in some interesting redstone circuits.

    Automatic Diamond Farm?

Since you needed end stone to make one, though from what I hear there are other ways to get it.

Time to clear up a faulty rumour

Actually making a smeltery is even easier in the latest version. Once you get a simple 1 high smelter you can start smelting cobble to make seared stone which can be used instead of seared bricks, and then the seared stone can be made into other patterns including seared bricks using the chisel...

Time to clear up a faulty rumour

Ok, I've seen this posted more than once on the forums and I thought that this false information should be nipped in the bud. Tinkers Construct smelteries can still be generated in villages. They weren't removed from village generation. This may seem not to be the case but I assure you, they...

    Shifting floor is killing slimes

Not necessarily. Instead of setting up a massive shifting floor you could just have a floor mobs spawn on and then you kill them with grinders. No one said you had to use mob essence to spawn the mobs.
