A 2000 block long tunnel at Y:12 for a tank cart sure would hold a lot of resources, perhaps even dug by a turtle. Only works if you love digging though :P. Mystcraft portals are the easiest solution, you need crystals though.

I have no experience with turtles, but can't you use a chunkloading turtle? You wouldn't need the chunk loaders then.

Thanks, it confused me because it's called "Nether Ores 1.2.5 for Minecraft 1.4.2 [and optional*next IC2* Macerators". Version 1.2.5 of the mod, not the game :x . I so silly. I just added the mod and it seems to work.

I personally added Soul Shards and Power Converters(MJ->EU, EU->MJ). I want to add NetherOres before generating a Nether, but it only comes for 1.3 or 1.4.4, so npt working on FTB, which is 1.4.2 :(

I'm awfully confused to.

I have a desert Mystcraft world, but it generates oil lakes instead of the geysers, I personally prefer the geysers for my oil, I'll try an ice plains biome.

I have yet to find a hollow hill or a wizard tower, but I found melon seeds in a maze :D! Someone asked about the wells, in my experience I've found that 2 of the 5 wells I went down in had a chest at the bottom. I just used signs to create some breathing spaces every now and then.

I noticed there was a mod in FTB called "Twilight Forest". I had never heard of it, so I looked it up and found out how to make a portal. I went to my test world and made a portal. I looked around in the twilight world, read some more about the mod in the forum thread about it, but still I have...

Might want to add that pigs no longer follow wheat too, they need carrots.

Also, GregTech adds the Industrial Centrifuge, which adds lots of crazy cool recipes.

ExtraBiomesXL actually adds Acacia too, so there's one double.. I hope the Forestry developers realise that.

Soulsand is EVERYWHERE in the nether, yet it's sometimes so hard to find. I remember when I walked all the way around a huge lava lake, then climbed up to a floating island and finally harvested soulsand, just to find some right across my portal later that day :(

Funny how this thread, like all others, turned into a GregTech discussion.

I think the developers of the modpack have to update the modpack manually ( aka. put in all updated version and check if everything still works) and then tell the launcher there's this newer version. I have no facts, but if that's the way it happens, I think the developers are waiting to update...

It also makes sulphur (dust?), but I'm relatively sure you can get sulphur many other ways.
