The private pack is going to be the only 1.5 version of an ftb pack as far as I understand it. That is the pack I'm going to restart my let's play on, but on a server with some friends rather than on my own. A couple of weeks into that I'll decide whether to do a new beginner's guide series...

1.4.7 FTB versions have been running since last December, ultimate since March, lot of mods and world gen changes since then, lot of new things/changes in the 1.5 version of a lot of the mods, and some good new mods. Sometimes a restart is good,specially if you've reached endgame content on...

Last year before ftb I played tekkit and was a rp2 junkie, using it for above other mods whenever I could. Coming back to minecraft with the FTB beta (after a few months of guild wars 2) I had to totally adjust my playstyle because it had no rp2. Looking back on that it actually made me a better...

I'm pretty sure that wasn't the tesseracts causing the issue as they should be able to keep up with any amount of input as long as the receiving end outputs to a system that can keep up (receiving tesseract with nowhere for the items to go will cause the sending tesseract to stop accepting items...

Cool that you got it sorted, I can only presume that the minium stone issue is something wrong with the version of ee3 included in 1.1.0. It never bothered me too much though so i didn't look for a solution/fix, there maybe one around somewhere.

i like them, but I'm using them in a way that's doable anyway, I'm just doing it in a different way; steam consumer -> BC producer instead of using steam engines that do exactly the same thing. Admittedly it's cheaper.

I start by making a few 16ks as my quartz allows (1 unformatted in a me chest, 2-5 formatted in a me drive), by the time you have enough resources to require an upgrade on your disks you should also have enough quartz to upgrade the disks :)
