Yea, we noticed that. And as of now we have no idea what's causing it and how to fix it. Unless you want to feel like a cryptographer, I recommend turning off the custom fonts option in Optifine.

No one is allowed to re-distribute the Sphax textures for vanilla, so once again, Sphax cannot be included in the launcher. This has been talked about many times before.

Did you download Leenhaart's version, or did you use the patcher?

The way vanilla minecraft supports custom fonts isn't directly compatible with our type of font. If you don't care about the stylized font, just delete the font folder in the main directory of the texture pack. Or you can find a texture pack that does work with vanilla custom font support and...

Honestly, I doubt it. There will always be more mod textures to do, and we will never reach a "fininshed" state where we can leave the texture pack as it is, so don't keep your hopes up for one.

Yea, i didn't really work on 1.5 at all, since 1.6 was re-doing the way textures are managed.. again. So now that mods are starting to get converted to 1.6, ive gotten back into texturing.

We can't fix it, it's up to the people who make forge, and there's a reason that they have just fixed it for 1.5.2 (hint, it wasn't possible for 1.4.7 and earlier) We could re-design every GUI in the game, but that would take months, and it wouldn't be Johnsmith anymore. So you mean...

Your best bet would be, in this order: Faithful, sphax, soartex, johnsmith. The other texture packs, such as Isabella, Familiar yet Different, Painterly, and Misa's; I'm not aware of their progress.
