    Help with reactor/turbine setup

I'm guessing he has 32 blocks of enderium. I think 36 enderium would cap the speed at 1800 rpm while using all 2000 mb steam and producing 25K RF. Upgrading to 32 ludicrite would do the same while producing around 28K RF. The arrows in the turbine control GUI let you set the max steam level...

How do I install an FTB modpack without the launcher?

If those are the recipe tweaks for expert mode, just put the folder in your instance wherever it was in the pack download and one of the mods should handle it when you create a world in expert mode.

How do I install an FTB modpack without the launcher?

If you don't want to download & install each mod individually, then I think you'd have to use the launcher to download the pack, then copy the mod & config folders over to the instance on the vanilla launcher.

Trying to create a pack, nothing want to work.

On the Mac side of things, I never could get MultiMC to work right with a 1.7.10 pack, not even an unaltered instance of an FTB pack. Luckily for me, the latest vanilla launcher runs properly on the Mac with new versions of java & is easy enough to build a pack on, once you get the hang of all...

    Transferring items between worlds

The problem is that Minecraft in 1.7.x is in the middle of a transition from block ID numbers to block names. When you create a new world, the names are randomly assigned numbers and can be different for each new world. The saved game data at this point is still using tables of numbers. I'm sure...

What cool little thing have you discovered today?

Your solution is complicated by an extreme lack of buildcraft in my pack. I haven't tested the vanilla comparator yet, but if I really can just pipe in from the top, there is no problem. I still think that as slow as the rock crusher is, it should be processing 9 items at a time, the way the...

What cool little thing have you discovered today?

I can pipe out, but not in. This may be the 1st time I've actually tried to automate it. I can set up something to drop things on top, but I haven't figured out the best way to shut things down when the rock crusher fills up.

AE2 Dense Cable -> Interface Help

While the dense cable can carry 32 channels, the fluix cable and the row of interfaces can only carry 8 channels.

What cool little thing have you discovered today?

Now if someone could tell me when RailCraft decided we should drop things on top of the rock crusher instead of piping things in from the sides...

    Cyclic Assembler Help needed badly!

If he's not running out of either eggs or sugar, he could split one row between them and leave the 2nd row for the wheat as it comes in, but translocators or rationing pipes are the better easy solution with 3 or more ingredients.

    Cyclic Assembler Help needed badly!

The 2 rows of input inventory can be set to separate sides. This is true for other TE machines as well. Translocators are often forgotten but can be set to keep a specific number of items in an inventory.

    Weird AE2 terminal behaviour?

I don't know what T is trying to do, but it depends on where your cursor is. If your cursor is over an item icon, T seems to think it is a hotkey, much like R and U are used to look up recipes in NEI. I just make sure to position my cursor over the search field.

    Disabling Non-essential Mods

Usually that error message means another mod lists that one as required. I seem to recall that Hatstand is a separate mod often installed with and needing Hats.

So, I'm fairly new to modded minecraft. Should I wait for 1.8?

The larger individual mods are really only just beginning to move to 1.8, and some may wait for a stable forge release for 1.9 and skip 1.8. As a player who started back with 1.4.7 (vanilla MC, I think I waited for 1.5 packs after I discovered FTB), my guess is we have another 6-12 months to go...

StrangeThistle (pic heavy!) (1.7.10 custom pack)

Thank you. I am particularly pleased with the lighthouse skin for my infinite villager breeder.

StrangeThistle (pic heavy!) (1.7.10 custom pack)

For lack of any better ideas, I threw up a fountain in the last corner of my dungeon complex. Now I think I'm ready to actually play for a while. Also, since I've already built it a couple of times recently, I went ahead and set up my mob farm on the roof of the nether in Recurrent Complex, for...

StrangeThistle (pic heavy!) (1.7.10 custom pack)

Don't you get enough bookshelves out of the 3 strongholds? I suppose I could throw up an enchanting station until I come up with something better.

    Custom loot

The loot tables can be fully and indivually customized, and getting the process to work right in my current pack only seems to be a little buggy. I'm having more trouble getting the maze and structure generator blocks working. I can't tell if it is bugged, or incompatible with the newest...
