    Mods that generate power(1.7.10)

    Well, if *that's* the scenario, then IC2 and GregTech is exactly what the doctor ordered ! When you add enetbridge, you can convert IC2 EU power into RF power. And, GT can convert to EU. So, imagine a Naquedah 32K EU/t reactor converted to RF. That's a lot of power for a single block !

    Thaumcraft Automation

    Rather, the tedious/long part with Thaumcraft is with the nodes. Gathering nodes takes a while, as does node bullying. The charged nodes are amazing, though. If you can get all 6 Primals into a single node and turn that into a charged node, those are the 'best' wand chargers, IMHO.

    Alternatively, you can wait until you have the requirements for Gendustry. I'm not a big fan of Gendustry since it bypasses/eclipses much of Forestry, ExtraBees, and MagicBees, but it does indeed bypass/eclipse those, offering tech-minded people who want to do bees an alternative way to do bees.

    Which mod types do you prefer, Magic or Tech?

    I like a bit of both, plus nature (bees and trees). Really, a mod well done is a mod well done. Great example of an awesome magic mod is the elephant in the room, Thaumcraft. For Tech, I like AE2 (yes, the new version !) and GregTech, among others.

    The slowness is mostly MC 1.7 for you, sadly. It affects both server and client. My server spends the vast majority of its CPU cycles updating stupid vanilla creatures/mobs like sheeps, cows, chickens, and zombies. What @nonamefhh said.

    Forestry Bee automation

    Indeed, diamond pipes actually work better than Apiarists for simple Apiary recirc. If you don't have diamonds, you can use eIO item conduits or TE3 item conduits.
