Yes, exactly what @Pyure said. The GT and the RC boilers both "push" the steam out and they both are able to push out 100% if they are flush next to an RC tank.
The eIO conduits have no throughput limit on the *network*, but rather are limited by *connection*. In contrast, GT and BC...
Also note Tin/Cassiterite spawns between Y=40 and Y=120. It used to spawn only at Y=80 and above.
I found my 1st Tin vein by exploring/digging in a relatively shallow/flat biome.
Yeah, an early-game IC2 jetpack is amazing. The charge doesn't last long, but is usually all you need to traverse difficult terrain (like the Nether !) with ease.
FWIW, Infitech2 already has Galacticraft.
And, it's balanced around GT. There are also plenty of mods and ways to do things, but all mods are modified to proceed at the pace of GT, which means worlds tend to last a lot longer.
RC boiler is 24/7. I need to do something with that creosote :-) I also still have my starting 10x solar boilers setup. I found a Galena (silver/lead) vein very early on, so figured I'd exploit that for solar boilers. The Tungstensteel is "on-demand". It cycles on and off when I'm using the EBF...
Thanks ! I might try the redstone signal thingy. That would save me from keeping another inventory of Alumentum right by my boiler.
Yeah, I "downgraded" to ULV when I switched from charcoal to Alumentum.
Ah....good to know. I think my OCD got the best of me. I didn't like how it looked...
About 30, yeah. May need 31 just to be sure/safe.
As for hooch, you can burn that in an eIO Combustion Generator for 60 RF/t. I'm using my SAG Mill more and more, and it go through millions of RF at a time. The eIO capacitors aren't that expensive, especially the 5M one.
I tried a BC Structure pipe, but it didn't connect to the boiler valve. I had to use a BC wooden fluid pipe.
@Dlur100
I did 25% / 50% this world. The reason I'm cutting off at 50% rather than 75% is my Tungstensteel boiler will crank out a ton of steam with 1 stack of Alumentum and nearly fill...
Binnie's was in originally, then was disabled when people got tired of the super-slow loading of the client and server. At the same time, custom bees based upon Gendustry and borrowed (with permission) from the Beyond Reality pack were used and they have all but replaced Binnies.
At this stage...
Pictures of my base.
Most of it is pretty standard stuff save the sunken design of the base. You have to fly in via the top (center), and have a straight shot to the 2 floors below via a 3x3 central access shaft. The floor below that has an Ethereal platform gating it. I rarely go down to that...
Yeah, I was pretty pumped when I finally automated my Alumentum production. I had never had a reason to build the automated crucible (Alchemical Construct) thingy before. Nor had I used Alumentum as a fuel/heat source before. Indeed, I hadn't even realized how powerful it was until I moused over...
Alumentum production can be automated with Thaumcraft. And, it's every 8 seconds per Alumentum.
It takes about 2.5 charcoal per Alumentum.
Also, don't forget about the Creosote. Between 30 and 32 coke ovens will keep up a 32LP boiler.
For Naquadah, you indeed need a lot of bees, with the best traits, in upgraded Alvearies or Gendustry Ind. Apiaries to make enough Naq. to make 2048 eu/t. constantly. But, it's not any more spammy than any of the other options. The infrastructure required is about on par with several of the...
