Early AE2 is fine in my opinion, because I despise doing storage systems. But pushing back the automation portion of it would realistically help tremendously in making the pack last longer in an interesting state. Say... remove interfaces from the busses, and make them require dead End Dragons...

Should be okay. It's fairly light weight, despite the number of mods.

Automaton. It's a 1.12.2 pack, it's pretty lightweight, with a guided experience. It's technically hardcore, but only in that some recipes for later mods require things from earlier mods.

Cool. The pack was designed around not having flight, but at the same time, the glider isn't really flight. Though you can use balloons and decorative rope to make sky lines to glider off of.

I'd definitely suggest Automaton if you can't do something yourself. It's a fairly chilled out pack, there are recipe changes but nothing requiring you hang upside down from a 30 tall jungle wood tree to harvest the rare sacred alpaca fur. You need IE Circuit boards to get AE2 controllers, but...
