The Cries of a Dead World

Remove the i the spelling is intentional. https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/automaton Link now that I'm not on my phone.

Erm... no, Automaton. Completely different pack.

The Cries of a Dead World

If you're looking for something a bit less stressful to start, but still 'hardcore' Automaton's a pretty fun mod pack I recommend to everyone. Fun to play, but not incredibly tough. You will need to progress through IE to get to AE and through AE to Mekanism. But it's surprisingly relaxing.

What cool little thing have you discovered today?

That was one of the reasons I added Moar Tinker's into my pack. That and the fact I could use the gems from Tech Reborn/BoP for parts. Red Garnet's make a stupendously fast draw bow.

The Cries of a Dead World

Restart is always my preference. What I do the second time is never as good as the first, and a fresh world is... a good place to fix old mistakes.

    Exploration mods

Yeah, Lensmanoz played through it on the Modular Mayhem pack on his channel, and the pack is if not based around it then interestingly different enough from most other packs to be worth playing. Plus it has more exploration mods, like Matter Overdrive in it.

    Exploration mods

Insufficient documentation isn't the problem. Everything is well documented and described. Once you find out about it. For example, there are flowers that exist in the world at generation. But they're invisible until you unlock the knowledge of them. If you don't know what something is, then not...

    Exploration mods

Both. Chromaticraft is a Reika mod, which means it's difficult, obscure and requires significant guess work. And the dimension is late game Chromaticraft, requiring you be quite powerful to not die from damage on entry.

    Exploration mods

Recurrent Complex has some cool overworld structures. Roguelike Dungeons are fun to explore with loot worth finding. Tough fighting in it though.

It's called the Celestial Manipulator if I'm not mistaken.

    Light-producing liquids?

BP in a hardened duct solves that issue.

    Light-producing liquids?

Energized Glowstone, does for sure, Blazing Pyrotheum might. Best way to make lamps out of glowstone, is to put it in a tank and place a single hardened or better quality fluiduct, then fill it from the tank. Placed buckets will eventually end up on the ceiling and I've seen them occasionally...

    new to mods

If you don't mind going back to version. 1.7.10, Intro2Mods from the FTB launcher was a great light weight pack. Alternately the original Space Astronomy had a quest book that offered essentially a guided tour of quite a few mods. Surprisingly good for learning all the mods at the time...

    Manufactio - Minecraft/Factorio hybrid

As far as I can tell the loaders pull stacks at a time, which is about as fast as you can get out of a cart.

Always want to consider multiple play styles.

Redstone Help: Can this be improved with FTB Revelation blocks?

Carpenter's Plates plus Carpenter's Doors will open double no matter which plate you step on.

    Interacting with Minecart Chests

Transport mod has loaders, they just A) Don't have Recipes, and B) Hate being fed with hoppers. They will pull from adjacent inventories though. It also has tracks to hold the minecarts.

EnderIO in 1.12.2 For Newbies (A Reference for the Rest Of Us!)

A vanilla dispenser works. But I have come to expect, hardmode gateway mechanics, followed by superior automation. Such as basic IE wires requiring hammer durability, plus cutter durability, until I lay hands on the metal press which lets me use straight ingots. The other bit that irritates me...
