I've only done my first small mining spree and i've got 14 ferrous and 3 shiny. I suppose it could just be me getting lucky with RNG.

I'm used to mining at 48, 12 and ~3. 48 for copper, and 12 for everything else but dark iron and redstone(in monster). This Iron thing threw me off quite a bit.

So, playing with the new DW20 1.7.10 pack and with 1.7.10 Thaumcraft and Thaumic Tinkerer for the first time. Is there any use for those Endrich Obelisks other than an early game "No! Please, don't kill me! Run! Run! $h!t, Run!"?

I just hope Fastcraft doesn't end up as Optifine 2.0 and break all the things. As far as the pack goes, I was a bit disappointed to see Project Red instead of Blue power. From the looks of the pack, it's a bit like Monster just minus Reika's mods.

MineFactory Reloaded's energy cables can convert MJ, EU, and RF. Iirc, Extra Utilities and EnderIO energy cables can also convert power. Is there really a need to be concerned about multiple power systems anymore? To be honest, I'm really enjoying watching Direwolf20 play things like Agrarian...

Yes, It is getting updated to 1.7.10. It's a good idea to assume that estimated dates are best case scenario. Personal stuff and bugs can throw off that date.

Less a suggestion and more of a request, but I'm in need of either a better Superflat preset generator or a custom world type that suites the modpack i'm working on. Vanilla's Superflat preset generator doesn't seem to accept modded item names, and numerical item ids change too often for the map...
