[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

Fantastic! What's the best way to install the beta? Has anyone written up the steps? I copied over my files for B1 and that wasn't the right way. EDIT: found a post by Basti here: http://crashlanding.wildwestscifi.net/board/topic/1-1-3-beta-1-bug-thread

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

That's a known issue. You'll have to use /hqm edit as explained a few pages earlier in this forum.

Yeah, the beta has a real bat infestation/problem! I believe it's being addressed though.

You probably already checked, but don't forget that capital G in "mobGriefing"...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

I sure hope this isn't considered a spoiler... Craft a barrel (ex nihilo) and put organic material (leaves, saplings, seeds, string, etc.) in it to compost. The compost becomes dirt.

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

I haven't done any multiplayer with this mod, but you might have better luck getting a useful reply via the "official" forums over here: http://crashlanding.wildwestscifi.net/ No guarantees, but it's at least a possibility. That, or disguise your question here as a SFM/Turbine configuration...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

Trying out the beta, died a few times and had the sync save me. The last time I died I suffocated upon entering the sync chamber. Now, YES, I did put down one of those chunkloaders that are in the chest AND I did use the sync successfully several times. So, no idea what happened. Having a...

[1.6.4] Material Energy^3 [JamPacked] [HQM] [CTM] [Beta]

I went out to where the "corrupted" drive was, and tried to box him in a bit with some obsidian (don't bother). I managed to kill it before it could do any damage. The good thing is that if you're running backwards, you don't have to worry about obstacles/bits/etc.

Blinking, sure, but are they still complete? Some are repeatable. My apologies if that's an obvious question. Just wanted to rule out the easy stuff...

[1.6.4] Material Energy^3 [JamPacked] [HQM] [CTM] [Beta]

Thanks! (I figured it out a while ago, but I'm sure this info will help many other folks) Well, at the time I didn't know where to find ender lilly seeds, so I went with creating them via MineChem. I ended up using 4 but I probably only needed two or three. At least one was a wasted throw. :)...

[1.6.4] Material Energy^3 [JamPacked] [HQM] [CTM] [Beta]

For #1, I think that's just a math issue with such a large number. I think the quest book knows what's going on and you'll be fine. For #2, you really should search this thread as this has come up a few times. A couple of pages back someone posted the perfect solution to getting the Flux...

[1.6.4] Material Energy^3 [JamPacked] [HQM] [CTM] [Beta]

This is exactly what I'm doing (well, that and the solar) but I'm not really running a ton of automated machines/etc. And like @Falkner35, those fancier energy cells go a long way.

[1.6.4] Material Energy^3 [JamPacked] [HQM] [CTM] [Beta]

For me, the energy cells had to be completely empty (0%). I had a few that were at 10% so I placed them in the world and then broke them with a pick and they were back at 0%. Then it worked like a charm.

[1.6.4] Material Energy^3 [JamPacked] [HQM] [CTM] [Beta]

Yep, confirmed! ;) Thing's humming along nicely now. This worked like a charm for me, and it seems to be a FAQ so we should maybe start pointing folks to MCFrugal's post...

[1.6.4] Material Energy^3 [JamPacked] [HQM] [CTM] [Beta]

Hmmm. I just cheated in 4 stacks of Stack and Speed upgrades, made no appreciable difference... I think it's the way I've configured it, not the upgrades... Would like to see/hear how others finished that one. But you're right about the QDS -- I thought from my CL and AS playing days that you...

[1.6.4] Material Energy^3 [JamPacked] [HQM] [CTM] [Beta]

Question about the "Oceans of Water" quest: The quest book mentions using a stack upgrade to move a stack of water at a time. I've got the node sitting on an infinite water source, with 2 Stack upgrades and 10 speed upgrades and the thing is only transferring about 1 bucket per second. Am I...

[1.6.4] Material Energy^3 [JamPacked] [HQM] [CTM] [Beta]

I've accidentally locked a carpenter's safe that way too, and it unlocked after a few seconds while I was walking away. Had it happen twice, actually.

[1.6.4] Material Energy^3 [JamPacked] [HQM] [CTM] [Beta]

There's a pig or three hidden in some places in that and in other maps, so I think you're still good. I know I found a pig hidden down in a hole on one of the maps...

[1.6.4] Material Energy^3 [JamPacked] [HQM] [CTM] [Beta]

Just watched it -- good stuff! What I liked: you knew how to use the items, so we didn't have to watch you spend 5 minutes learning how to get the energy from the solar generator/etc. or accidentally overwrite your disks. What I didn't like: your mic! ;)
