FTB - It´s to easy, how to make it hard?

There is a need for objective. Like killing dragon. Or feeding the beast.

    What is the end?

Request Suggest mods for creation here

"Colonisation" Machines that produce resources (minerals, wood, monster parts, etc) in abundance, relatively cheaply and without destroying environment. Catch is, they need to have a distance between each other to work effectively. And type of biome affects productivity too - you get more wood...

    Most ridiculous power supply

It's not hard to get mycelium (from mushroom biome, with silk touch). Question is, will mushroom grow if one adjactent cell is occupied with dispenser/turtle/etc?

    Cheap decoration blocks?

I like (vanilla) concentric squares chiseled stone bricks. RP2 had recipes for it, but TC's chisel can make them too (goes right after Fancy)

    Most ridiculous power supply

Mobfarm for bonemeal. Bonemeal is clicked on mushrooms (is it possible?) Big mushrooms are harvested and biomassed.

    Cheap decoration blocks?

IC2 building foam. After 1.6, vanilla stained clay.

    Disappointed

I think there is a need for a modpack (or variation of modpack) that balances mods with each other without nerfing everything to oblivion, like GT does. For people that enjoy engineering challenge, not endless pickaxing.

Modpack with only open source mods?

Thanks, mod is great, but I could not find license for it. If you haven't decided yet which to use, probably Minecraft Mod Public License (http://www.mod-buildcraft.com/MMPL-1.0.txt) would be a good choice.

Anybody know a TRUE, cheap replacement for pneumatic tubes?

Carts with hoppers, or even better, with RC unloaders, work great. No animations, no spilling, no quadratic growth of cpu load, no single item stacks running all over the place. Also, BC will not spill, if you don't have dead ends, I think. So, make a circle, or overflow chest/void pipe. Or both.

Anybody know a TRUE, cheap replacement for pneumatic tubes?

Pneumotubes are actually not quite good way to feed machines. Especially many machines. Or from many sources. Too easy to get a zillion of single items bouncing back and forth. Because by the time item get to destination, it is usually full again.

Modpack with only open source mods?

Indeed, "has github" does not means "open source" MFR is "free for non-commercial use" - http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1629898-151152-powercrystals-mods-the-updates-never-stop/ Which is not quite "open source", but close. MFFS3, while also has github, has a very closed license - no...

How could one convert a FTB map to Vanilla?

I think you can just load it with vanilla minecraft and all modded blocks will just disappear.

So what pipe do i need NOW?

I think there were Insertion Pipe in Additional Pipes mod, then it was added to core BC. So, now we have two of them with different color and recipe. EDIT. Hmm, now, BC does not have insertion pipe. So,these two insertion pipes are from TE and Additional Pipes.

    Minecraft 1.7

Java is not perfect, but it is a pretty good compromise between speed, stability and ease of coding. It's main issue is massive verbosity and redundancy of syntax, but Scala fixes it.

    Minecraft 1.7

I'm just waiting when modders will ditch Minecraft and switch to open source clones like Terasology or Minetest.

Doing some research in the newest IC2_Exp build[138]

Back when IC2 reactors were water-cooled and had no (c)heating cells, it was a very fine border between getting 32x from your uranium and a giant crater. That was crazy fun. Now, as I said, IC2 is interesting for me two things. UU generation - more as something to add objective to a game, than...

Back in my Day... Minecraft Edition!

Back in my days, we did not have mesa biomes.
