How to get shaders working with FTB Infinity 1.7

If only they would have legitimate mod support and stop referring to integer ids for the specially rendered blocks :P

If you still need them what do you want them to look like exactly?

    Recent Events Discussion (RED) Thread

I personally like little fantastical gizmos and gadgets over full fledged magic systems, things like the enderpearl teleportation mechanic :)

Curse Client, FTB Packs and Linux

I don't really care how nice a pack is if I can't play it :P Imho people need to stop throwing linux under the bus. "Linux support will be one of the stretch goals" is extremely poor because odds are that stretch goal is never going to be properly met. You have an important portion of the...

    Using ResourcePack for shadermod support

After some digging through the shaderpacks I have found that the values for "things with special effects" are all hardcoded by their id, the seus shader pack "supports" BoP through a massive "or" statement when it assigns the leaf block id an effect (hope you didn't change that config m8s). This...

    Using ResourcePack for shadermod support

I've been tinkering with both resource packs and shader mods/packs for the last little bit. Does anyone know where the support for getting mod textures to include the effects that vanilla textures get with shader packs actually is? (ie the swaying leaves and grass?). I really hope they aren't...

    Texture Artists

It uses the RGB colour space and on that accepts anything on the range. Alpha doesn't work unless the image is specifically rendered with it in mind. Other than that, all guis need to be 256x256.

    Forge and Nova

I would like to warn you/anyone from trying to speak for the collective "we". It's neither wise nor validated. That and looking through the last two thread pages will give you your answer.

    Forge and Nova

The idea of skipping versions seems pleasant at first until you realize that updating to 1.9 from 1.7.10 isn't going to bypass the issues with 1.8 at all. It just going to throw two times the amount of crap onto the mountain that we as devs are going to have to climb over. People have tried this...

What's new in modded minecraft today?

*gestures aimlessly at things, notices how... unified... everything looks I honestly don't know when "soon" is for an official release. I will say though that the repositories are set up in such a way that you can download the zip and it almost functions as the texturepack. The base project...

    Texture Artists

I was thinking, it'd be cool if there was a "Texture Artist" avatar banner, seeing as how much work people put into textures, and how often mod dev doesn't really fit... cc @Jadedcat :)

    Forge and Nova

I just get irritated whenever someone says something along the lines of "there's not x of something, there's x + y of it". It's basic logic you learn for programming, (x + y) is a set that still includes (x).

FTFY, correct what actually needs to be corrected not just for the sake of "one upping".

Curse Client, FTB Packs and Linux

I have had very pleasant interactions with the curse people (Kaelten has been very approachable) as have the other staff whom we interact with on a daily. I know the work that gets put in is largely community oriented, and this is extremely important, something that hasn't been a major goal in...
