    Greg's done it again.

The weak power propagation over an extendable line like that is revolutionary. Enables totally new types of circuits.

Use at least iron gates and propagate the signal via pipe wire instead of redstone. This is one of the reasons pipe wire exists.

It would help if you didn't say this after misrepresenting what he said 180 degrees turned.

    Greg's done it again.

What's important to note when comparing FC to Greg: BTW is ambitious, has a real release history, and he tends to finish most of the features he starts. Greg still can't bring himself to admit what he really wants is a total conversion mod. Until he does, GT will always feel awkward.

    Greg's done it again.

I confess that I cannot keep pace with all the config changes given that they really require you to read that detestably unctuous forum thread. I maintain a modpack with over 70 distinct mods, and Gregtech stands out as one of the top three timesinks we face (especially lately). The competition...

    Greg's done it again.

The thing is, if you want hardmode without Gregtech, just get rid of thermal expansion and IC2. Seriously. Go build your steam furnace and rock crusher or your Factorization setup and see how easy THAT feels. GregTech isn't even the hardmode king. Even worse, most of the modern additions to the...

    Greg's done it again.

Cool story, Greg. But you know what? GregTech has migrated from "more IC2 content" to an overhaul of Minecraft. Love him or hate him, FlowerChild has pointed out many times that you can't do this piece-wise. Perhaps Greg has changes up his sleeve that make this change reasonable, like he did...

It is also some intersection of graph theory and information theory to hear Pahimar tell it. Makes 0 sense to me.

    High Range Item ID Hell

Look at AT Launcher. We're basically finding a way to give players the experience they want while still paying lip service to shortsighted mod author's quasi-legal copyrights. The next version drops soon, and it's how I'll get Thaumcraft into Resonant rise.

    Your general opinions...

Lol. People build steve's carts still? Like, for anything but vanity builds? It's sad. I've never seen anyone use a SC-based mining system. I got one working briefly in 1.4.7 when things were costed differently. I dunno how I'd do it now... I'm sure it's "possible" but I have no idea how to...

    High Range Item ID Hell

I've personally never seen forge do what you're describing. I see Item ID conflicts and I move them. I've certainly never seen a reallocation as random as the one you're describing, and the modpack I maintain is... *cough*... it has high mod churn. I do have Item ID ranges for my modpack, but...

I just use sed and grep. Generally easy.

    Shoop Resonant Rise [Ended 7/21/13]

I think Saice should do adventure maps. I bet they'd be really neat and novel.

    Massive ressource income?

And much faster. You'll need to have overflow protection from day one with that rig.

    Massive ressource income?

What confuses me the most about this is, "Why?" This is purely number-hacking. A single 20-wide DW20-style mining well quarry will produce more resources than you can easily spend. MFR Mining Lasers, when available to you, will turn any power-positive build into a resource factory. You're...

Your 2nd question, "What to learn?" The important thing is to grow in your trade. So "keep learning." My advice is to keep learning what interests you. Sounds like you're already building an impressive portfolio. I might work on diversifying into mobile stuff. You look like you've done...

So. I'm not the kind of person who says, "This is programming" and "this is not programming." Ultimately it's a trade skill and what matters is what you do with it. If at the end of the day you're happy and proud of what you work on, that's the real value. I do OO and Functional programming...

A question about energy storage/ mekanism

I turned them off because they can cause framerate issues. I'd recommend you do the same for the sake of your sanity.
