What modpacks do you play? Are they highly customized?

I just play the 1.4.7 FTB Ultimate. I don't think I'll update to 1.6.2 if it means losing my world. I haven't played for long enough to really care about new things, since in general... Lot's is still new to me.

What are you guys going to do? Will you dump your old world? Attempt to break the gap? Play another world simultaneously (most people I think this one)?

I'm skipping. Hay and horses... Okay. Better rendering and stuff? Dammit mother f---er. New mod stuff? I can wait.

I play Cart Chest Ultimate. 1.6.2, all the mods are highly updated and customized to fit my play style. Steve's Carts is the main focus of the modpack, with Iron Chests being the filler.

Suck it, 1.5.2 players!



In all seriousness, I play 1.5.2ngt with Xeno's Reliquary and BoP enabled, on a server. I have a highly unstable 1.5.2 modpack as well that I'm trying to cram as many mods as possible into.

Lol. People build steve's carts still? Like, for anything but vanity builds?

It's sad. I've never seen anyone use a SC-based mining system. I got one working briefly in 1.4.7 when things were costed differently. I dunno how I'd do it now... I'm sure it's "possible" but I have no idea how to anymore, even. All I used it for was assisted branch mining.

the twitch streamer ZeekDaGeek uses steve's carts for his automated mining, he came up with a very interesting system using them.

I started with Mindcrack and slowly evolved into a privet thing. I needed easy access to quality mods and their relevant links while doing that and my spreadsheet is a byproduct.

The SC tree farm cart is the only one 99% of us go for I would say the wheat farm is okay but not near as good as the tree, in newer versions it now costs 3 diamonds every couple of days to repair (diamond cutting head) the cart, this is a balance & seems fine but I would not touch the miner its way too much trouble for the mats it mines, I can but hope the mining cart is still in balancing & maybe will be usable at some point.

For me its 152ngt atm, but with the weather we have been having here the last week or two I hardly get time to play & when I do I am normally too tired to stay on long, or is my interest lacking for some other reason, no ideas anyway going out again, its yet another awesome day here.

I use steves carts, the mining system is great (can be a little bit unreliable at times) and i love steves arcade <3

I used to play 1.4.7 Ultimate. But now I play 1.5.2 W/N GT. I play on 2 servers, one with, and one without GT. I don't care about losing my world.

1.5.2wgt, pioneering the buggiest latest version of the pack.

Oh how I miss RP2 for cheap gems. It's harder to make energy crystals now. Lapotrons aren't as big of a problem tho.

Same here, I use Steve's carts for mining once the resource cost wouldn't be crippling. I know it isn't practical, but it's really cool to have a little minecart carve out a huge tunnel for you. It's also really handy when building underground bases and tunnels.
As for what I'm playing, well I use to play ultimate but got tired of waiting for an update (this was before the beta packs) and decided to put together my own pack. I discovered that there's just something about putting together my own pack that I liked a lot. The modlist is somewhat similar to resonant rise, though I didn't even know about it when I first put my pack together.
I probably won't play 1.6.x for at least 1-2 months, or when the majority of my favorite mods are in beta/stable release. I don't really care about losing my world, because I can do all that I want to do in it within a couple months.
