It is, but a chisel is way easier and cheaper. The recipe only requires a stick and one iron ingot, has infinite uses/no durability, requires no power to use, and can convert blocks a stack at a time. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk

This happens with the battleaxe also. What I've noticed is that if you just drop lapis on it, you will get one but not the other. If you hit things/break stuff/whatever, it will build up both. It was always annoying for me, because by default adding lapis to the battleaxe only gives you fortune...
