    Let's talk about IC2

To encourage the usage of the Metal Former. If you've got a hammer that you can use 500 times you're just not going to make a metal former, especially as cells no longer need it either. People were designing reactors that relied on uranium heating up coolant cells, then moving them over to a...

    [1.7.10] Binnie Patcher

That crash is from not having Binnie Patcher at all. To install it all you have to do is put the jar you download off of Curse into the mods folder.

    [1.7.10] Binnie Patcher

It's everything to do with Forestry as all the soul frames do is add to the mutation chance. It's probably some logic change to do with the way mutation is worked out that is breaking the effect the soul frames do. The actual value going to Forestry is right though, I've tested this multiple times.

    [1.7.10] Binnie Patcher

Update Not Enough Resources, and probably Logistics Pipes for it's Forestry compat to work

    [1.7.10] Binnie Patcher

It should say something in the logs if that happens, which would be very useful to help resolve your issue.

    [1.7.10] Binnie Patcher

That's the same crash report as you sent last time.

    [1.7.10] Binnie Patcher

    Updating Forestry should fix that

1.8: what is holding you back?

More than that, because there are methods that just have a parameter change type. And then there's the central multiblock class that has been nearly totally re-written to work with Forestry 4's new system but still work with the rest of Binnie's stuff. Or the dummy world that has to be used in...

1.8: what is holding you back?

*second hackiest. There are parts of Binnie Mods that mesh into Forestry 4 pretty ropey.

[Guide] How to run Infinity Evolved with 1.0GB RAM allocation

The crash is directly from IC2 not having the EJML library, as Buffagenik's log proves (and another person who posted on the IC2 forums about it this morning). Just the crash as a result apparently makes Minecraft go slightly haywire.

Closed OUTDATED - Script Fixes 2.4.2 (Expert) & (Normal)

Remove the heatvent and advanced heat vent fixes, they break the recipe by reverting it back to a no damage version despite all the other scripts fixing it for a 1 damaged one. Or change them so they output :1 rather than :0.

Oh those changes were the memory related fixes.

[Guide] How to run Infinity Evolved with 1.0GB RAM allocation

It doesn't strictly fix the memory overuse but work around it. It actually creates a jar of the entire game (Minecraft + all the mods) and appears to run that instead, which is the time before the window opens. This way there is only one jar actively being read, and every mod jar doesn't need to...

1.8: what is holding you back?

I just booted it up (which it is refreshing quick), and the main menu says 41. That's remembering both RedPower and Buildcraft add about 15 together to that. It hasn't changed, a mod is still in effect just a jar (or zip if they're old) that modifies the game in some way when it's loaded. I...

1.8: what is holding you back?

The original Tekkit pack was also massively more stable and the 25 mods were much more content filled than what 25 mods would get you now. Comparing the size of RedPower and IndustrialCraft to that of EnderIO and CoFH Core-Lib-TF-TE-TD at the very least. (And CoFH Co aren't even updated).

    [1.7.10] Binnie Patcher

Update Forestry, it turns out not the earliest 4.2 versions work, but I've never found the definite cut off point where the class was changed that breaks the patcher.

1.8: what is holding you back?

As bad as that sounds, it's what Forge does now. It was only 1.6 that it stopped shipping base classes and did everything at runtime, but it's perfectly possible to copy the way it does it for older versions. As for backporting the content, you'd have to re-write it yourself for what ever...

    [1.7.10] Binnie Patcher

That'd most likely happen without Binnie Patcher (and obviously Binnie's Mods as well) anyway, that's an outdated version of NEI Integration (ie one for Forestry 3 not 4).
