I can confirm that the D1 version of Optifine for 1.6.4 also works reasonably well. There are still some small issues (like minor z-fighting issues here and there) but mostly it works pretty well. But don't use the Ultra version. Just the standard version is best.

Note that the fermenter needs a redstone signal to switch to automatically building the other thing. This is not needed if you manually feed it but if you want to do it automatically you have to give one of the two fermenters a redstone signal.

And also how does this compare to the jetpack from RotaryCraft? Seems we have plenty of jetpacks to choose from these days :-)

Well, the world is (almost) infinite. Who cares about the ugly places if you never go there? :-) Just my opinion though.

It will not really ruin it. Just the borders of new and old generated chunks will be weird. In my case I did it. No it stops them. I don't do this automatically for that reason but only when there is an actual problem. Also I recommend checking the chunk boundaries. It really helped a lot in my case.

Actually my daughter plays with about 90 mods on a 4Gig computer and I gave MC about 2.5 Gigs ram and it works perfectly (although sometimes a bit laggy when it is swapping). So I don't think that this is true actually.

Go to 'options'. There is a memory slider you can change. Try going to 2.5 gigs or so.

4gigs is not a lot for MC but *should* be doable. But perhaps not for the bigger modpacks. Make sure you close all other programs while MC is running and also check the amount of memory in the FTB launcher. Try increasing it somewhat (but not excessively).

I personally don't use 1.7 because I already have an established world with 1.6.4 and many mods are not ported to 1.7.2 yet.

If you are playing single player you can set an option in the rotarycraft config to allow crafting in the normal crafting table (and also in AE that way). Doesn't work on a public server of course.

Yes, I have 350K of smoothstone (from a borer machine) but I'm talking mostly of trying to get more items out of a single item (like making the slabs that I'm doing now) or using microblocks to get more value for your buck as it were :-)
