What's new in modded minecraft today?

In other popular news, Gregtech updates to 4.07V!

    Mods-New vs Old

He does add configs for most of the vanilla things he changes (although they're near impossible to find).

Any client side mod to make water clear (don't want Optifine)

You could try the water shader mod, if it's updated that its.

    Universal Electricity's texturing

Why do the majority of UE mods have those awful 32x textures? I seriously don't see how this is supposed to draw new players to it.

Launch the FTB_launcher.jar with just double click!!!

Ah, k. Anyway, doing this allows you to put the applescript in the Dock's application section, which is impossible with just a regular jar.

Launch the FTB_launcher.jar with just double click!!!

I do believe it's because OS X doesn't handle Java 7 (the first non-apple build of Java) to well. In my experience the solution was programming a script to launch the game with Java 6.

    Machine Request: Clay Maker

    Minetweaker, guys.

    Growing Biomes O Plenty Flora..Possible?

Deployer connected to skele farm spamming bonemeal on grass, then another machine silk touch harvesting it and putting it into a sorting system.

Hunger mod that allows me to tweak how fast hunger decays?

I believe that Smart Moving allowed for customisation of hunger decay speeds.

Biomes O Plenty too much water not enough land?

In my experience, Biomes O Plenty is awful at generating when lots of biomes are disabled (try enabling only one biome, for example, and it will spam Thaumcraft biomes, water, and you'll get horrendous chunk errors once you re-enable them). Probably the best way to go is to edit the biome IDs...

    FTB/Minecraft 'I have never...'

I believe the main reason he was proud of them is because he added a subtle animation to the nose which made it wriggle slightly.

Well... it was bound to happen, Greg is nerfing base IC2

No. You craft one scaffold extender for the base of each scaffold tower you create. (alternatively the scaffold extender could be handheld). For multiple wood types, there is a magical thing called the Forge Ore Dictionary that does that for you.

    Runecraft for FTB unleashed

You mean this (http://runix.wikia.com/wiki/Runix_Wiki) mod? Firstly, it's not a modpack, it's a mod. Secondly, I'm not even sure if it's updated to the version of minecraft that Unleashed uses (I can't see any visible download or version). If you mean this...

Well... it was bound to happen, Greg is nerfing base IC2

Personally, I think it would be better if they changed the scaffold mechanics entirely and added a generic 'scaffold extender' block. When clicked with wood, it extends scaffolds for you. Scaffolds drop wood. This would mean that people would no longer abuse scaffolds as fuel, and scaffolds...

    FTB/Minecraft 'I have never...'

Never seen a witch (I'm pretty sure it's impossible for them to spawn without severely editing their house, which makes me wonder why Jeb was so bloody proud of them)

How would you kill 9001 Withers?

I'd take a big pointy stick and poke them with it.

    Best Modpacks

The best modpack is the modpack you design yourself.

Using RotaryCraft's power for other Mods..

Whoops, got them mixed up. I meant Gregtech.

Using RotaryCraft's power for other Mods..

Ah. Mind you, with Transformers of Forestry, EU conversion is still possible.

Using RotaryCraft's power for other Mods..

Ther is an EU conversion device listed in the handbook, although when I played it with IC2 experimental it said that the "item was disabled because it relies on another mod which is not installed" (or something like that).
