I never tried FTB packs with Java 6 but I did run my own custom packs with it for a while. At this moment I skipped to java 8 though. It might. Fastcraft helps with chunkgeneration and that can affect startup time as a lot of chunks have to be generated then.

Well for me 1.7.10 with java 6 and Fastcraft performed better then 1.6.4. But I know that's not the case for everyone.

Can you open the dimension tab for that dimension in your hand and then do shift-right click. Then copy/paste all information you get to here. Thanks

Gideon decided for now to keep the default rftools setting which is to not explode. We'll see if we change this in the future though.

Mods for 1.7.10 cannot work on 1.6.4 at all. Why are you still making a 1.6.4 modpack btw?

Ah, you still cannot sleep. The beds don't explode but you cannot skip the night currently. I haven't actually found out how to fix real sleeping in rftools dimensions. You actually have to create more dimensions later for quests.

I'm sure you'll find a way to put a pressure plate next to your bed connected to TNT to make it explode again :-)

Gideon made it so that dimensions don't consume power. So you can live forever in your rftools world. That's not a standard feature of RFTools mind you! Just only in this modpack. The exploding bed thing is fixed in the latest update.

Yes rocket fuel is similar. It also has to go before either terrain or else a feature that needs liquids (like lakes or liquid orbs)

Did you put a terrain or feature dimlet after the material dimlets? Material dimlets on their own don't do anything. They are modifiers that need to have a feature after them. i.e. <material ardite> followed by <terrain normal> or <material ardite> followed by <feature tendrils>.

Or a dimlet for eternal day.

Well there is no choice in this. The order matters because there is a grammer to making dimensions. My grammer is more relaxed that Mystcraft grammer but there are still some rules you have to follow. One is that material dimlets have to go before the thing they want to affect. It has to be that...

A goal I particulary like for some reason: - Make a very OP RFTools dimension and keep it powered. That should keep you entertained for a while :-)
